I have this fondness for arts since I was a little. Modesty aside, they say I make some impressive photos that I've personally edited. I even made a wedding invitation for my sister. Editing becomes my addiction these days, do you think I should offer my creations to earn something from it?! I do need an extra income so I put up a little shop online. But I'm quite afraid whether people will appreciate it or will be just ignored? :( What do you think? :)

I would say that you continue with whatever plan you may have.
Don't be afraid to fail, although I don't recommend that you think about it.
If you need help, I am just around. I can help you with promotions perhaps.
Have a nice day!

I think it’s a great idea! You should put up a facebook page or an online portfolio. Most independent photographers and amateur photographers do make a scene on the market just by putting their contents online so, that they can attract clients from different parts of the world.
You can do this, by uploading or making your own photography site. You can also upload them on FaceBook or on a photo sharing site such as Flickr.
Join commission work! This may help you build your first little audience; you can do this by collaborating with a creative team such as photography and publication team such as in fashion, magazine, or wedding shoots. There are photographers who like to collaborate with young minds in order to build up a good photography theme.
Join a gig-site such as fiverr.com and upload your work samples so that interested clients can make scheduled sessions. You can also join a fashion directory site such as model mayhem and collaborate with different photographers there so, that you can gain exposures on the field.
You can also register to work on freelancing sites such as Odesk and post your work samples so that if you want to apply on some working positions related to your skills, employers can put an on-hand review from your previous works.

I think everyone is born with some natural gifts, some may have many and some may possess few. But the main thing is how we use it and execute it so that it makes some meaning.
I just love my gifts as a hobby, but still didn't tried to utilize it to gain fame or money, also we lack the experience and the way to utilize those gifts.
As you just mentioned, I also have this hobby of editing stuffs, whether they are with photos or making of videos, I just love them, love to create something new. Also I was born with the gift of art, which includes not only drawings but art in real life as I can't see things arranged in improper manner, I will just put them in the right places so that things look proper and beautiful around us.
Have a nice day.

Just few days back i have posted one discussion mentioning that the luckiest persons makes hobby as their profession. You want to be successful out of your hobby. Its a good thinking. You have told that you have given some of your creation for online selling too. So there is nothing to be afraid. Rather you should improve your ability day by day. Starting from photoshop, coreldraw etc. you can even switch over to video editing using Adobe premier. There is a vast future in these field. Moreover, if you are adding web designing to your present study, definitely you can earn a lot. With better imagination, you can do wonders. All the best.
