Hi :)
First of all, let me wish India and all Indians, a happy Republic Day.
Today there was a pooja held in our society and everyone was invited. I, being not interested in those told mom that i will attend it later. So mom had called me sometime later to attend it and meet my building(apartment) buddies.
I went to the terrace where it was held. I met some of my friends, just a casual talk. Things aside, so i had dinner with mom there itself and went to keep the plates and stuff. The members had hired some people to do the dish washing.
So when i went there to keep mine, what i saw shook the earth under my feet!
There was a small girl child. Small like 1st or 2nd standard schooler. But i doubt whether she actually went to school!
So this kid was cleaning all the left overs from plates and utensils, while her mom was busy in something else. I told my mom to report/tell this to society head, which she didn't(not her fault). I should have told him rather myself but i didn't(my fault).
Then came another society member and mom told him my concern for this girl child. He wasn't surprised, rather he said, its normal and that those people do it like that and there's nothing to worry about and that is their means of living.
I told mom, that if i inform police, everyone will be arested for child labour. Well, there are some things in this great India, which no one can change.
Anyways, keep it up India!! I mean, being a republic nation.
Time to sleep...

Hi ya this is common . The media people just catch one and just make some news for their views after wards everything is normal. No body bothers what happens around.

Yeah. IF these things are common, what kind of a Republic country does India demonstrate? I am totally against all these...

Hi
I am so sorry . what for all are wishing "Happy Republic day". I found it every where on the sites today. what did we achieve to celebrate this? The example which you have shared is enough for us that we don't deserve anything.

Yes prashu...I too saw there many wishes and news that people are celebrating a 'republic' India. But in practical i cannot see it.
With all these happenings here, how can they celebrate? They even mostly forgot about the Delhi incident.
