67 dead cats and 99 live cats taken from home in New york...........

That is pure animal cruelty. They should beat that person. If they did that to cats can you imagine what they would do with people. It is a sick story. I haven't read the paper yet today since I have my kids here. But I will get around to it later on. I find that horrible and sad.

I think people like this should be locked up in mental institutions. There is something obviously wrong with them and these poor animals suffer beyond imagination...poor babies. Yeh, charges are pending so they'll get a slap on the hand, maybe a fine, told not to get any more cats, and let loose on the streets to do it all over again.

Those poor kitties...they didn't deserve to end up like that...and yes it surely has to be a sickness that causes someone to collect cats like that....they should press charges!

OMG .what was wrong with the owner? Is the owner alive ? Or atleast live there? What kind of fun he was having by hanging the poor creatures there. Yes of course such people are really sick. They should be in rehab or in hospital.

Oh my god! It is so horrible! I am wondering who did that! I can not imagine how disgusting the smell was. And I am so sorry for those innocent cats. I hope they can be sent to the animal rescue station and they can stay safe and sound.

that's really an awful news. what on this earth has made someone to do this , i really can't understand . can't even think of the situation.

That is both sickening and horrific, how can anyone be so cruel? Obviously they don't have any conscience, how would they like it if they were put in a plastic bag and left and forgotten? I sincerely hope the charges are stiff and maximum penalties are delivered. They should be punished severely.

It's people who take on too much and can't admit that they've overextended and need help. Poor kitties. I hope the survivors find good homes.

When I first saw the title to this story I decided not to read it. I get very upset reading stories like this now a days! It never ends! The animal abuse I mean! This sounds like this person thought they were doing the right thing with the cats,got overwhelmed. Maybe there is some mental issues with the owner of the cats. What ever the reason I feel for those cats! They deserved better then this!

I feel sorry about all those cats who had to suffer the insanity of their owners. It is not anymore normal for someone to have so many cats. That's insane! The owner is no longer thinking straight, the police should arrest and also get help from animal protection services for the live cats. It's disgusting to be in such a situation.

The culprit should be behind the bar for that crime. I had also readed that news on the internet. I found out that 67 cats are packed in plastic bags inside the kitchen freezer and 99 live cats were locked up in crates which were stacked one of top of other. And the live cats are taken by authorities to the nearby animal shelter. The manager of the shelter said that she had offered help to the house owner previously but the owner woman rejected her proposal.
