First of all welcome to mylot.
My education, I have just finished high school as the top achiever. High school education where I live is quality education, but beyond high school I can't say the same. I am here hoping to get accepted into school in the US. but the school fee is so high. Really high, some school is over $40 000, even others is over $60 000 per year. I can't afford that. I am hoping I am able to get a scholarship or financial aid package that can really send me through school. I want to be a neurosurgeon and I will work very hard to reach there. Extremely hard. I just hope I can get accepted to a college in the U.S. so I can get a good quality undergraduate education, which can better my chances into medical school.

Really high. By mid Feburary I will know if I am accepted to some of my schools. And the rest by the end of march. If I get accepted, it will be the first time I will really be on my home without my parents. But I am happy. I have always wanted to leave and really get a taste of life. I feel it is necessary to get that taste of life no matter how difficult it may be. To be so far from family with no way of seeing them. I live in Jamaica so I know that wouldn't see them until holiday times sometimes.

I passed exams in English Language, History and RE when I was aged 16 years old at school. At age 18 years old I got a pass grade in a Business and Finance Shipping and Transport course. I passed an A Level English Literature and retook my course in Maths at 16 plus level. In my mid twenties I went to university and got my degree plus qualified teacher status. I passed an A Level in Travel and Tourism. Nowadays it is pricey to study a university level course.

I think I have got good education, I have spent more than 20 years in the school, now after graduation, I have got a good job with flexible working time.
From my own experience, I think education help me a lot, it brings me more chances than people with less education. But I do not think it is a wise choice to study without any stop as me. Having “the gap year”is also needed, which gives you a chance to look back and plan for your future.

Oh! I just finished my engineering in June and I am an engineer now. Software engineer to be precise and I am all on my way to get settled in my life, stand on my own foot and all. But then, I am very happy that I got a job, very early as soon as I finished my coarse . The worst thing is, recession is going on and there are absolutely no openings at all for engineers in my place and most of my friends are all still searching for a job and going by that, i would call myself lucky.

Education is really important that we should not take for granted if we have the chance. Never take for granted the opportunity to study since there are so many people out there wanted to go to school for their future yet they can't due to financial problem. Better study well and dont let the opportunity to pass and wasted.

I totally agree with you. As long as there is opportunity to go to school you should really grab it. And besides, there are many who want to go to school but just can't because of financial reasons. Though, you can be a working student and still go to school and earn the money for tuition fees, it can be really hard on your part. But if you can do it then why not...:)
