When you make out a decision, you will get something from it and lose something at the same time. So there is no real correct decision in all direction. Before you make out the decision, think about what you will get and what you will lose. If you can afford the lose or you can get more than lose, it can be called correct decision.

We know we have made the right decisions in our lives if we go about making these decisions in the right way. Intuition and gut feelings are the way to go. What more can you do? If a situation comes to a postive and good conclusion then you know you have made the best decision available to you. And Fate and Karma are on the side lines laughing and scowling.

We set forth on a goal hoping that whatever the first thing that comes to our mind is the best solution. But then, you will really never know that it is indeed the best decision unless you get the results.

i hope this will not be deleted, but you are senior so the probability of deletion is slim. Anyway, if the result of the decision is favorable to the decider or the people around the decider, it guarantees that the decision was correct. If decider can sleep at night without worry of another day, then the decision was correct.
Making a decision is part of our lives already. Even the small children decides on which toys to play with. Decides to whom she can trust and not trust going with. Yes we decide all the time and hopeful that the decision is right.

Most of the time, it's quite hard to make decisions. We should consider and weigh a lot of things. Sometimes, we even sick help from other people. Though there are times that it's so easy to decide. We can't really tell if our decision is right until we make one and see the result. Yes, I have been in a position where I had to make a lot of thinking in making a decision. It was really stressful. I hope I was able to decide well. Happy mylotting. :)

Decision making requires some input, and some forecast. Agreed that forecast is not a reliable measure of outcome, but that is all that we have to go by. We can at least use some other resources or methods to ensure that we achieve desired outcome.
Now, coming to your life, emotions and responsibilities will intervene. Your age and stage of life will help you decide which decision is right and which is wrong.
Honestly there are no charts of success to measure up to. Therefore, you are successful if you achieve what you set out for yourself at the start of your life. Others will try to hint that somebody else is more successful than you. It is their scale, you are not bound by their dreams, it is your dreams that count. Because when you retire and sit with that cuppa, you will be more relaxed if you have followed your dreams, rather than their dreams. You would be more satisfied with your life, and not wish to live others lives for them. It does not have to be a lot of money in the bank, and large mansions. In Hindi there is a song.."thoda hai thode ki zaroorat hai", meaning I have a little and I need a little. I think it s most apt from my perspective.
Just dont trample others on the way, or fail loved ones...you will live to regret that.

There is no way to know if you make correct decision unless you can see in the future. Because time travels continuously you might think you make the correct decision because of the benefits right after but what about way down the road. How do you know that your future from that decision wont be worst than if you had made the other decision? Actually how far in time do you have to go to know if your decision was correct. It depends on so many factors, but for a human being, to me there is no way to know if you make the correct decision. And even if later down the road you THINK you made the wrong the decision, you have no idea if the other decision might be worse.

It is sad to say that there are no magic wans that we can wave or crystal balls that we can look into to see the future. All that we can do is make decisions as they come to us in our lives. We hope that when we make them that they are the right ones for us. Nothing is written in stone. We just have to deal with what these decisions and choices make for us.

Taking a correct decision is no doubt very difficult and it depends on the demand of the situation as well as the mentality and attitude of the concerned individual. That is to say, there are situations which demand a courageous decision but chicken heart people are not brave enough to take any courageous decision which is correct for the situation and so they usually fail to take the correct decision. Thus for taking a correct decision, one must consider one's mentality and attitude and decide accordingly. One must consult with one's family members and well-wishers before coming to any decision. One must consider the pros and cons of one's decision and the ways to tackle the consequences of that decision. If one can correctly visualize the details of the problem with the probable consequences and can take proper steps to prevent any unfavourable outcome, one's decision should surely be correct. So far in my life, I had to face many situations where I had to think a lot and ultimately had to take a courageous decision which was in the long run found to be correct. One must rise to the occasion to take a correct decision. One must take into account everything in advance and judge everything by logic and never by emotion.

You know you have made the right choices for yourself when you have no regrets about it later down the road. You won't know for sure in that moment till after you have done it. Every day you make choices some are mostly small but there are is always big stuff.

Sometimes, we come to know in short time that certain decision(s) that we have made led us to better or worse situations. Sometimes we can pinpoint them. However, at other times, we might think that things went wrong or right due to certain things, but actually, there were other related conditions that were responsible for the outcomes. Hence, it is possible at times to ascertain whether or not our decisions went right, and difficult at other times. Its all judgemental and inferential and nothing definitive.

There are no good or bad decisions. What can be good now can be bad in 5 or 10 years. But the fact is you live now. You can choose to be passive and let things be the way they are or live a more active life. Set your own goals, give it a try, gather life experiences and in the end you can be proud of yourself and say you at least give it a try.

You can never be to sure as to what the truely right choice to make is. is You can only think hard, consider all the options, and make the best choice possible. We can only live each day step by step and hope at the end of the day we did what was best for us.
There are many times that I am not sure that it is the best choice for me but I still have to make it and deal with what comes next.
