I always think of February as the tax month, property taxes are due, irrigation taxes are do, my income tax information is arriving so I start on those taxes. I understand that I get many benefits from my taxes in this country, but I sure hate
all the paper work that goes with getting them paid. I save all year to pay them, but there must be an easier way to get them to the proper places.

I am glad since we are buying our home, that the property taxes, etc. are included with our payment so there is no real worry. They do evaluate everything though to make sure there is no shortage, and overage and adjust this all the time as well. It helps make things a little easier for tax time as well as what we can claim, etc. as well.

Hi savypat,
In India our government is strange. Every year they change tax laws every year and it is very difficult to fill your own taxes every year by yourself and you need to have a income tax lawyer to fill them for you. This is February, I too have to fill tax this month and also my life insurance premium is due too. This is going to stress me out.

Taxes make me shiver. Luckily i don't earn that much or qualify for taxes yet. But i can see my future where i have to pay just taxes, we don't possibly get waiver so it gets very difficult for us. I mean at least most of us. Only a very senior post some times gets waiver. Or defense and similar high category people get waivers but not normal one's

Over here it starts at Januar, the big bills. Extra bills about the electricity, gas (you pay for a whole year each month an amount and after 1 year they send you what you have to pay extra, it's seldom you get anything back, the prices are only increasing). Taxes for water (region you live in a few hundreds), extra taxes of the city (few hundreds), annual taxes for the house you own or rent (so owner plus the one who is renting pay for the same house), etc etc. I haven't found yet an easier way to pay it all besides of saving indeed.
