Do you ever "fight" over what movie to watch with your bf/gf?

Hi, Mylotters~ Long time no see. Been busy getting a job and all. Missed you guys a lot. Anyway, it seems to me that sometimes it's really hard to agree on which movie to watch during dinner time. And some of my friends also have this problem. When we double date(or have group dinner) and try to find a movie to watch, the girls usually want to watch some chick-flicks, while the guys usually want to watch some comedies. And we always have to compromise. Does this happen to you guys as well? How does the "fight" usually end? Eager to hear some good stories. Have a nice day, you all~

Hi Babyanna Hmmm... so after the pillow fights it is fights over moviesSeems you and your friend land up in more fights than many others Never mind... I am ready for the fights over movies... I rarely have it my way as my wife always gets to watch her Bollywood movies when she is home... and I crate all sorts of disturbances that I can create... How about... ummm... you start clapping when the hero hits a bad guy? or even get a whistle and blow it loud when the hero enters the screen for the first time... (ps. even those tricks now a days seem to have no effect on my wife and her movies... maybe I need to find some other ways)

I miss you more dear. The people with whom I am so very free and natural seem to be occupied in the real life. Never mind, I am glad that you keep returning back and let me play me. I would try to find the tambourine but... ya know, I have an aged caring lady (86+years) as my landlady who once came all upstairs to check out if I was okay, and it was when I was singing and playing drums on the bucket while bathing at the mid of that summer night...

I just got a smartphone and it helps me to go online more easily. A lot of stuff has happened in my life. And I'm not liking it. You would probably see more posts about it soon. Anyway, I hope I can spend more time on Mylot as well. Well, tambourine probably won't be the best idea then. LOL~

LOL~ Oh, I miss your humor. We do seem to have all kinds of fights. LOL~ That's where the spice comes from, I guess. Thank you for the suggestion, I would try it sometime. Maybe next time instead of clapping, use a tambourine~ And please let me know if it works~ Haha~

Hi,changjiangzhibin~ Thank you. I already got a job. Waiting to get notice from my company as to when to start. Well, yeah, tastes differ. Chick-flick is more like movie for girls, like love stories. Personally, I prefer TV to movies as well. But my bf really loves movies. Thank you for sharing~

My hubby and I don't fight over what movie to watch, we compromise. We will either agree on what we want to see right away or I just let him watch what he wants to see and I will go and do something else. Most times on Friday and Saturday nights we flick through the different movies and decide if we want to watch action, adventure, comedy or drama and then we take it from there. Thankfully my hubby doesn't mind watching romantic comedies some of the time and I don't mind watching action.

Hi,lelin~ We don't actually fight, but argue in a fun way. Personally I don't mind actions. As a matter of fact, I love them. But I dislike no-brainer comedies most of the time. And that's my boyfriend's favorites. And sometimes I hate it when he tries to drag me along with to watch it. Anyway, it's nice to know that you compromise. Have a great day~

I never go to watch movie with a group,I just go for it with my girlfriend, and I never fight over what movie to watch with my girlfriend and always up to her decision, you know what? When a boy comes out and watch movie with his girlfriend, the point is not the movie itself, you know what I mean, haha.

I think its normal to fight over a movie to watch between you and your bf/gf. What I usually do is to alternatively choose the movie. For example, this day its my decision then next time it will be his decision. Most of the time we enjoy same kind of films but it really depends on other couple's personality. If your bf/gf is kind of controlling personality then tell them or open up that they cant be deciding all the time. There should still be fairness in a relationship even how small the problem is.

I'm actually not a movie person. And sometimes I love to watch a movie alone. My bf, on the other hand, loves movies. Some of his choices I do like a lot, some I really dislike. Although I think I do make it show when I don't like a certain movie. I think it's a good way just to alternate. Pretty fair too.

Dear friend, Never had a fight, hardly had any girl friend to go with movie. But mostly I wish to watch movies alone and enjoy it more concentration. There are times when I had went to movie with my friend, actually we decide which one to go without much fightings.

Hi,SHAMRACK~ Yeah, sometimes I like to watch a movie alone too. And some movies are better watched alone. If we go to a theater, we usually figure it out first as well. Thanks for sharing~

Never, I always win, he gives way... though sometimes I give way also. Sometimes my choice is bad like when I choose boring movie. then after the movie I will just be given taunt and tease... same with his choice if I don't like, sometimes I sleep in the movie house. LOL. this is just funny, though I don't really sleep, just teasing him. no problem with us.

LOL, that's what I meant by "fight". They are not for real. But sometimes it makes things interesting. It's not always about movies. It's about two people having fun. Haha~ Your story sounds really awesome.

There's a solution for that, download the movies you want to see and have a movie marathong on weekends. I do this with my husband, it saves our money since it's expensive in cinemas and we have so much fun watching home than in cinemas since we can lay down and have any positions we want and talk loud..more fun.

Hi,vernaC~ Yeah, that's what we do,too. Either we download movies or buy cheap DVD discs. We don't go to cinemas often either. Usually the time we go to cinemas is when we want to watch the movies on big screen or in 3D. I personally don't favor movies the most, but my boyfriend loves them. And he likes watching those no-brainer comedy movies while I want to watch some movies that can teach us something. I think that's why I don't want to have a movie marathon because I would consider it a waste of time. I do love some good trilogies though. Anyway, thank you for sharing~
