I am tutoring a 5-year-old kid who is half American and half Filipina. The mother is a disciplinarian while the American father is a bit lenient with her. I was letting the kid read short simple sentences and when she came to this sentence, "My father is good," she stopped and asked, "How do you write 'My mother is bad.' " I silently smiled at this because I knew what she meant. Whenever her mother would reprimand her for misbehaving she'd call her bad.
Do you have a kid in the house who say things that embarrass you? Fire away.

Kids younger than 10 years old are somewhat tactless with the way they say things. And it is because they are not completely aware of what certain things should and should not be said. We may find it funny sometimes, but of course, we need to correct them as well.

OMG! that is something really her mother would not love to listen to for sure. Well i know a kid at my sister's friend's house. Man, i must say that small rat has so many things to say. I wonder from where she learns such things. The other day she spoke very loud to a guest who came to her house, it was very very embarrassing for everyone i guess. She will speak to you very rudely even if you ask her something sweet. I never talk to her, i told my sister i would not like to talk to kids who don't have respect. I can understand things at time. But what if that kid speaks loud and disrespectfully in their every talk?

That's what I love about children, their honesty and they will say quite literally what's on their mind, it's a shame as adults we lose this talent! I used to work with children and they never ceased to amaze me with what they came out with, so innocent with it. You know where you stand with children too. When I worked in a Primary School the children kept asking me if I was married! It was unusual for them to have a male role model in their school.

Take things in stride. Solve embarrassing situations the best way. I've been a teacher and have encountered lots of embarrassing situations with schoolchildren in and around the classroom. Don't get angry and try your utmost to understand them.

omg !!! that sure is funny. We have a saying here in Mexico kids and drunks almost always tell the truth, without even knowing they are telling.

There is none like that in my family.
However, I remembered seeing one family.
The child wanted to buy something but the
mum do not allow. So, he said "I don't want
to friend with you anymore, you no good!"
Then her mum stare at him and walk away.
