The worst thing is to be stuck in traffic with either a running stomach, you want to go the bathroom, you have hungry kids in the car or you have a lady in labour. If you are lucky to be comfortable then how do you pass time, blare music, read something,or just get agitated and keep hooting?please share your experiences and how you handle them?

There are times I was stuck in traffic with an about to burst bladder. Really uncomfortable to be inside a vehicle like that. Good thing I can keep on controlling that one for a long time. One time I really got off the public vehicle just to pee in the nearest urinal around. Luckily, I haven't been diagnosed with urinary tract infection in my entire life with all that pee control that I am doing.

Oh yeah! Traffic especially occurs when you are running late too! Makes me think Murphy's Law is in motion during such troubled times in a traffic jam. That is why I am just trying to think of other positive things whenever I get stuck at another traffic jam.

I have a friend who gave birth in her car. as in, they arrived at the hospital with the umbilical cord still attached to her. She said, it is more expensive than giving birth in the hospital.
I just sleep every time there is a traffic jam. I sleep a lot. LOL

thats sad.imagine the great plans you make then your baby is born in the car, as long as they are well its good but then it can be scary.its fun to sleep in the jam its good if its a public vehicle then you can just relax and sleep, but if you are the driver you must stay alert.

so far I see a lot of trucks are out of town and they cause the streets are jammed, and then my stomach ache. I tried to bear the pain and look for fields or resting place. Even when the big day I've been in the car for 2 days, and there is no place that can be used to parking. Supplies had run out of food and drinks in the car, nothing else to do except listen to music.

Since I do a lot of driving and commuting in the DC/VA/MD metropolitan area, traffic jams are a fact of life 24/7.
At night, there is road construction at any given time, any given place on the interstate, beltway, parkway, wherever, and frequently there is only one lane (out of 4) open and sometimes, they shut all the lanes down for 15-30 minutes. Do you know how much traffic is out there in the middle of the night? MILES of it! Just bring them to a stop on a major traffic corridor and you will be amazed.
Rush hour? Let's not even go there. Suffice to say it starts around 3PM and can extend to 8PM. A 20 minute trip can easily take 3 hours.
So how do I deal with it? Try to avoid it. BUT... the best laid plans often go awry, so if I do get stuck, there's not much I can do if I'm driving. Got to stay alert, so taking a nap, reading a novel, etc. are out. Honking is not going to accomplish anything except piss off the other cars around me. I basically just sit and stew and curse my bad luck...
... and pee my pants. (

I live in rural area so seldom that this thing happens unless there is an accident on the road. I remember when I had to travel home one afternoon and I gut stuck in a traffic caused by the accident that happened on the bridge being constructed on the place.
We were inside the car for several hours and the weather was not that good. It was raining hard so we have to wait because we could pass the bridge.
Have a nice day!
