hi syoti, i do not have all the details, but i hve heard that you will apply as a regular student in UP and you will just opt for the Open university program. all requirements must be submitted to them as well, and processed accordingly. then they will give you your curriculum via your online address,

Not sure. but the UPOU (UP Open University) is only open for graduate work. Not exactly college or for a bachelor's degree. But the process you described is quite true. You have to register as everybody else but much of the coursework and interaction are done online. Usually, this is the preferred method of people from really long distance places or busy with their work.

My friend's college is the one owns tri semester. Its semester is usually shorter than normal semester in my college. Each semester usually lasts ten weeks or a bit more. The winter and spring semester have classes, while the summer semester is used to take part in some part-time jobs or research works. I think it is quite good for tri semester, the schedules are always full and can do more things in the same period.

There are now a lot of Universities that are into online learning... not exactly home schooling... but professors teach and administer exams through the internet... you might want to check out the website of UP, PNU, La Salle, UST, etch... in UP they have this continuing learning program where you can get a degree in a particular course... i am just not sure about the fees...

Try searching the Philippine Christian University. I heard that one of our highest officials in our place comes from this school and she was homeschooling. I'll try to ask one of her staff if this was really the school where she was enrolled. She has already graduated about 2 years ago.
