how engrossed do you get when watching Tv and what do you do as you watch telly.with my husband if its a soccer match dont dare cross infront of the Tv or he will scream his lungs out,at this time talking to him is wasted effort.with my daughter if its cartoon time she wont let you even flip channels to check on anything else and you are also wasting your time chatting with her she is so engrossed.with me Tv is this engrossing when am watching a series,at such points i even ignore phone calls.i even just have my snack to bite and a drink and i have a ball by myself.this i like to do when am home alone otherwise they will interrupt my fun,do you have such moments in your home?

not at all.. im always working here when the tv is on. I really just listen to it. Might be why i most of the time just have cnn news on here. Have a great day there. News is on here now... Tv time !!!

i agee i also like to watch tv and multi task i watch tv programs and like to spend time on my computer surfing the internet or playing games or spending sites on sites like mylot. I think that nowadays i prefer to earn money online than sit around and watch TV maybe im turning into a work-a-holic.

i love watching tv and i must confess i would be the same as your husband as i also hate when your watching a football game and some one walks in front of the TV. My girlfriend also likes the tv she watches programs on fashion and reality games shows such as big brother i cant stand these programs i usually walk out of the room.

I don't have tv to watch and haven't for around 4 months. I don't miss it that much. I only had a couple shows I liked to watch and I never really get so engrossed as you describe. I can go without tv and usually just listening unless its a show that has visual aspects you have to watch... I know kidn of wasted to not watch it but that's the way I am I guess. I'm always doing something on the computer anyway.

I do not have much time anymore this days to watch television for I am always tired from work but I do relate with what you have shared because I have a younger brother with the age of 9 who was very addict into cartoon networks. When he is in front of the television, you cannot talk with him and if I attempt to look for another channel he will shout I should set the channel to the one he is watching. He acts as if he owns the television. lol

I can totally relate. When I'm watching csi, I ran to bathroom to pee on commercial break, if not, I wold hold on till it's commercial
. With my dad and my brother even my 2 sisters when watching ufc, they look like they're in front seat and talking loudly. Oh and yes, don't pass while the fighters are brawling each other because they would scream at you to get out from their sight.

Even i love watching TV but not sports. I love watching movies but not repeated one which is been already telecasted. Love to see comedy shows and comedy movies which makes me laugh and happy. I am so engrossed sometimes that my husband shouts at me, as you said even i like to munch while watching television. But i do understand it is a bad habit but waht to do i am habituated. Hope i will devote sometime to read books as well.

I feel like no matter when I try to talk to people here they tend to not listen, so I tend not to try to make the effort now.I have a husband who is forever on his pc on face book playing on two games that he has been playing on for ages and he dont listen.
Then there are the children who prefer what they want to do than listen to what ever I say.Lonely life really, so I made my mind up to just let them all do their own things and I just go a long with it for a peaceful life.

I lost my interest in watching TV and movies several years ago. i become very busy and I think i don't have time for watching TV anymore. Like maria I would only listen and I already understand the story of some soap. I'm already familiar with the voice of the actors and actresses especially the local ones.

I love watching a few tv serials daily and hockey matches.I have been a hockey lover since when I was a teenager.When I am watching my favorite tv serials or a hockey match being played between my country,India,and a foreign team,I can't tolerate anybody attracting my attention.I want to enjoy every bit of what I am watching.So I first finish all my works and then begin watching tv.And then tat's totally my time.

Well interesting info: I cannot do anything else when I'm mylotting;) Because English is my second language, I have to read carefully, no music actually, no talk with others or from others, nothing but reading and thinking. So um... I usually spend 1-2 hours mylotting. If the time is too long, I'd feel a little tired!:D

this is true. i didn't like someone bothers me all the time when my favorite show on tv and dont like get missed of it.the way im watching t.v. i dont really,want to miss every act what actors/actress,or is it a game show or whatever. but in the end it was fun being like this.
