Am I Paranoid??

So I told my boyfriend that someone messaged me from a fake facebook account accusing him of cheating with them, then I put up a facebook status to show my disgust at the fake message just so he could believe me. I went through his phone (which I know I should not do) and saw a BBM message (was not extreme, a flirty message) that pushed me to plot a lie. Am I wrong for wanting to find out if that BBM message had a meaning or I should have just ignored the message and move on like everything is ok?....He swears that he is not cheating, I have no proof that he is and I honestly don't feel that he is, but a little plan to find out his intentions is not that bad, is it??

I'd feel the same way as you did. I would find out ways on how to prove if indeed my partner was telling the truth or not. I mean, why would anyone send you a message like that if there wasn't any proof about it? Well, let's just say that somebody is mad at him, but making up stories like that is not the way it's supposed to be.
But then, don;t do something major. Just be watchful instead.

The proof lies in the treatment your partner or boyfriend would give to you. One needs no other proof. If he is indifferent, gives excuses, stays away these are telltale signs that all is not well but certainly not prying!

"Little knowledge is dangerous" and more so when it is got by dubious means as you have You indeed are paranoid. Proof is his attitude and the way he treats you. If you are satisfied with that it is impossible that he would waste time doing what your paranoid nature is accusing him of!
Relax and enjoy your boyfriend's presence in your life.

What you did is okay. I guess your boyfriend wouldn't mind if he knows that it makes you feel better.
