I was really pissed off this week! I am a clerk who in charge of inputing data from ERP(a system of enterprise resource planning) to a CMD database system, then generate Bill of material with a lots of technical files.
This week, first is the CMD data system have many problems,I contact the consultor of this system who is a rude and careless girl. Everytime when I found a problem of the system, she always reponsed that it was coz our wrong operation. But for the god sake! I always follow the instruction of them, maybe I am not a clever person, but I am not stupid enough to get myself into trouble. After I gave a lot of prove to her, she had to dealt with it. But she never fix the problem seriously. Everytime she responed me that the problem was sloved, but it didn't, it happened within a day or an hour!
Our ERP system is not a perfet one too, the engineers often provid wrong or not enough imformation in the system, then told me the imformation was correct, I can do the BOM.
But everytime when the CMD or ERP system have something wrong, I have to do my work one more time. Thanks for those systems bug, I already do 3boms many times(I have no time and energy to count how many times). I am tired to do a same work again and again. My boss didn't help me but ask me just do it. It was not my fault, why do I need to take responsibility for thers fault? Especially the job is quite boring! I am so upset and tired. If you were me, how are you gonna to do?

I had a job like that, more as one job like that. At the start it did drive me crazy but at a certain point I could do it automatically and it gave me time to think about other things, be busy with my own thoughts, ideas etc which is very relaxing to me.

I like to have a job that is full of challenge and creative. But sadly, this job is boring: just put data from one system to another system... And I have to pay attention in it coz if I do something wrong, I need to do it again. I want it to be my ex-job, but it is my current job coz I can't hunt another job so far which make me feel so upset.

Some boss are like that, they think they know every thing and they are always right; because they are the boss; they always blame the juniors for that, the clerk is the worst effected..
In teaching line bossism is usually not found..

My boss doesn't care about my pressure, I want to do things right, and since he doesn't notice it, then I have to change my attitude.

I also had a similar experience with the CRM from my previous job. What is funny about it is that I have no technical experience at all since I took up Dentistry in College, and yet , my boss who has been in this system long before I became their employee doesn't know how to operate it. Well, he would be telling me this and that which I have found out that it is not possible with their system and yet he kept on insisting that it can. Annoying, right? While my friend and I have to export data from their old CRM to the new one, the new features of the upgraded CRM are not well discussed to my boss, and yet he keeps on telling me that I should read this and that so that I'll know how to navigate within the system. As I have said, I am not a techy person, and he knows that, too, and I do expect him to know more about it. But he does not.

I feel sorry for your experience. Now I decide to be calm down and not to complaint anything about the system and the rude consultant any more. I don't need to treat all those trouble as my baby to take care, it is not all my resposibility at all. Why am I so care about this? Just make sure don't make mistakes and then no matter how bad the situation is, it is not my fault.

I think, we need to deal with this kind of conditions at work and in our daily life. Things will passed, I believe. You need to have an open communication with the folks in your workplace to have peace and harmony among you guys. I hope in time you can handle things better with virtually less stress. Good luck.

I believe in what you said. But now I stuck in this trouble, even I ask help for my boss, he doesn't care at all! I am so nervous not only just for my work efficiency, but also for the company! Coz if we don't complete BOMs on time, the delivery date of production will be delaied! On that time, this trouble will become a great trouble! Now think about it, if boss isn't care, why I care so much? Maybe I just cool down and not say anthing anymore just let the idiot system makes things getting worse and worse.

This is the kindd of job we do... business analysis in relation with systems integration and usefulness. we usually do reviews of existing system and see if the users requirements are still aligned with what they need. usually systems with poor migration and endorsements do have several problems with them when they were handed down to end users. most of the time this is really the fault of those who wanted the systems used immediately after purchased. i guess there is really going to be a lot of trouble if your team does not have a QA that will endorse the issues to developer who will then fixed the issues. Goodluck with this.

HI, chiyosan! It seems I didn't get luch today too... The system still doesn't work. But what pissed me off was the attitude of the consultant, she always ask us to test again and agin after she confirmed the system was fixed. But it was not stable, this time it is fine, next time it has problem. She did not focus on how to slove the problem foever, she just play at us and waste our time! I reported the problem to my boss, he want to play the good guy and not intend to push the solution at all. And he even begin to dislike me to talk this insue to him.

good day to you xiaohongxiaohong,
honestly speaking, if you keep on doing the same work all over again and again, this will surely push you to your limits. and this is the reason why get pissed off. aside from the system that you have had, hence, its like there is no progress on the job that you do. that you keep on encountering the same old problem that has never been fixed. thus, what you are doing is really tiring. and this is also the same thing which i have encountered 2 years back. during those years when i was still working in a consultant company, my boss always throw back the paper works that i am doing, he keeps on telling me that there was an error but he doesn't care enough to point out where i committed an error. he was so unreasonable during those times until i decided to resign. sad to say, i was like a sacrificial lamb during those times, since my boss changed his attitude and realized his mistakes after i tender my resignation. but i didn't repent what i have done because i believed God has a more wonderful plan for me.

I also want to resign! Sadly,I can't still get an interview opportunity even I almost search jobs in the internet per night. My partner already find a new job and will resign soon. I don't think I can handle all this work by onself! I wish I can find a better job that pass all the trouble to my boss, which makes him pay for his negative act! I don't want to face it alone...
