you can copy/paste all the notifications into a word document so you can study which topics were deleted, then reread mylot's discussion guidelines and faq.
here are the links:

you might understand them better when you have samples of deleted discussions to refer to. that way, you'll know what discussions to avoid starting or joining next time. hope that helps.

You better read the guidelines fully well to avoid that. But as for me, I also am not really that careful. Sometimes I reply and post for as long as the topic interest me unmindful of whether it gets deleted or not. But since it is such a waste of time, I think I should be very careful also.

at first, i would be cautious of what and to what i posted to. that was in the beginning when i didn't really know all of the rules. now that i have been here for a while, i pretty much know which ones will probably get deleted, so those i won't waiste my time on. if discussions are too short, i will not respond to them. another thing you could do, is post more of your own discussions. as long as it falls within the guidelines, and it's not too short, then you are good to go. you have more control when you post your own.

No because you won't know which ones will or will not be deleted at all. So I just go around doing what I need to do answering questions on here and joining in. It's not like every day something is going to get deleted so don't worry your head about it.

You have familiarized yourself with the discussion guidelines, right? Then you will know which discussions are more likely to be deleted for guideline violation. Some of us would still join a discussion fully aware that it might get deleted; simply because we might want to have fun with it until it gets deleted or maybe even to offer some help to the OP hoping it is read before it disappeared.
