Some people like to work under someone as he or she has passion or no choice, but I believe I am a slave of God only not every one else. So I choose to be self-employed. Isn't it better to work under someone or you have your own way?

I agree with you, drkraven. If I have a choice and a chance to be the boss, I won't choose to be an employee of someone.

Sometimes, what we want is not possible. So if there isn't much choice, we end up being otherwise.

You are true, not all people like to work under someone and like to be their own boss. But it is really not possible for those everybody. I mean sometimes you don't have the right capital or their ideas fail, some don't have that right motivation or something or other like this happens. I want to be a successful food photographer. But i am not finding the right way for it. I want to learn good bakery items i have the talent of food styling and composition but i don't have that inspiration. So you see i am still stuck here.

Before considering self-employed or working under someone else, I would evaluate under which condition will I earn enough to support myself.
Sometimes our choice may not be based on our wishes and wants...it has to be based upon survival.
I hope you can earn enough in self-employment. What happen to your marketing job then?
