So I am sure I had been told before or read it but I had no idea what our policy was for Tornadic weather.
I asked yesterday seeing as we had torando warnings around us.
Apparently our policy is to go to the designated walk in cooler.
Which works wonders for my fear of being locked into a freezer.
Luckily, and I figured not, we didn't need to go to the freezer.
So anyone know their work policy for inclement weather?

we don't have many tornados where i live here in Canada but we do get a lot of snow and my work policy is that if the schools are closed, we are closed which was nice because Monday the schools were closed due to ice rain so i (and my co-workers of course) got the day off!

Snow here in NC is never a lot so while schools may be closed, a lot of businesses are still open.

If a hurricane was coming I would leave work before the road leading to my home became flooded and I would not be able to reach home. No policy at all really but I would let the staff leave early so that they could reach home before the bad weather came.I would be terrified to be in a cooler

We don't have to worry about hurricanes here but I wonder what our company policy for that is nonetheless. I am sure it'd be much the same, close early and go home.
Yes well that fear of being locked in a cooler terrifies me. When I have to put something back in a cooler at work I open the cooler wide and make sure it won't close, run in put it where it needs to be, and run back out.
