I am feeling sad recently that my phone is incompatible with a lot of free stuffs using the download for google play. I had the first generation android phone and about 3 years ago this phone was really one of a kind! haha now that there's a lot more development, i am out of place!! I cannot download certain apps and i cannot download candy crush to my phone and play it online through my phone. =( I never have thought of chaging it until end of this year.. but with this.. i feel the need to update my phone!!! Grr.. but since i am still out of budget, perhaps i would not be changing phones sooner... maybe a few more months. he he Well anyway, how old is your phone now and do you think of changing anytime soon???If yes, what do you plan to get?

No I don't like outdated phones at all.I tend to change once I get bored of it.I bought Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos last week and the previous one was Nokia Lumia 800 that I had bought a year ago.

Galaxy Grand Duos is the best phone in the price range here in India it did cost me INR20000 i.e.US$370.This phone is the great phone, has all the features that I needed.Indeed S3 is way better than Grand Duos and $200 more expensive as well.

I like keeping a second phone and that I do have but it's an older phone that slides from LG. I can't use it with my current service. I just have to make sure that my next phone doesn't break my brother's contract. He pays a flat price for 4 lines so that means my next phone has to qualify for the contract.

Sorry you can't play games on your phone any longer. That's a bummer! I had a cell phone for 10 years. It was the first camera phone. Well, it crashed about 2 weeks ago. Didn't have internet or texting on the old phone. Only problem was I lost all contacts, didn't think to back them up, and photos of our grandkids. I know have a Pantech and am happy. Learned how to text, finally. It's has been a positive and fun experience. Don't have internet on this new phone since it would actually be a waste of time and an added expense. I get enough of the internet when at home.

haha yeah, it was really sad.. =( i love to play games and when i have nothing to do i usually play games but everything is incompatible now! =( oh well but WOW that you still have your phone that is now 10 years! :D im sorry though that it already gave up 2 weeks ago. I think when your phone crashed, there are establishments that would be able to help you recover the lost contacts... and photos and messages. goodluck with that. =)

I just upgraded my phone in DLecember, so I am not in the market to upgrade anytime soon. I really do enjoy the phone, as I even post in here using my phone. It is quite easy, and no problems at all. i usually upgrade once a year, but not sure if i will do that the end of this year, but it all depends on the phones that have come out by then. It seems that technology is always changing, and it is ery hard to keep up with it sometimes. I am glad that i bought the phone, as i enjoy it more and more every day. Take care, and have a very good day.

Hi, As far as my phone is concerned i have just bought a new one in December 2012. I had started using cell phone from 2006 that too my sister had gifted me her old one when she bought a new one for her. It was with me for three years and was working good but there was no other application could be down loaded, but for conversation it was a good one. After that I got a new phone of Carrbbon that too was gifted by my sister, she is so kind to me. When this cell went out of order I was using my daughter phone and finally i got a new one which I have purchased.

I just got my new phone at the start of the year. The one I had before was over two years old. We changed companies to get better coverage, and of course, the new free phones! I takes a little time to get used to.

LOL, I would say less than two months. I got it at the end of December.
I had a SamSung phone before the new one. At the time I got it, it was pretty awesome, too. But then the technology changes so fast that I couldn't download awesome apps anymore. So I decided to get a new one with the money I won at an English speaking competition. It was around $400. I know it sounds like a lot since even an iPhone costs less. But actually an iPhone costs more than $400 in China. I think my phone is better than iPhone in many ways, though. It has a much bigger screen and the camera is just awesome(even at night). It's a Chinese brand and uses Android system. So far it's been a great experience.
iPhone fans please don't beat me~LOL~

Well, I can say that I am more on a not so branded kind of cellular phone. I do not know, but I am already contented with my phone which are already obsolete. lol. Maybe I had a phobia already because I had a high quality cellphone before but when it was being stolen , I did not have already that urge to buy a high profiled kind of phones. As long as I have phone as communication with my loved ones then it would be nice.

My phone is 1 and a half years old I feel the same way with you about wanting to change it. When my phone was new, he was so perfect and we did so many things together, we were like the perfect pair, one cannot go without the other it was full of my and everything, and then it came to a point that we became too familiar and then it got routinary. It was nice knowing what we can do together. But now I saw that new Samsung flexible phone on YouTube, I want it so bad. Gaaaah! Why can't my phone do that? Its as if he doesn't care anymore, he let himself go.

Nowdays, android and smart phones are very most common when it comes to mobile phones. These phones are very much compatible with all applications including downloads and the likes. When i started working, i had my first samsung phone, unfortunately, it has no wifi connections and it is not yet an android phone. Android was still not introduce to public and it was accurately four years ago. Later then, my very good dad gave me a one unit blackberry. I did like using until now. It is the phone i used in my personal day to day encounters. It can access to some applications, but such phone was not an android phone. I can access the common thing to all blackbery smartphones, which is blackberry messenger. Recently, a close friend of mine encouraged me to buy a new phone. I had bought samsung galaxy tab 2 p3100. This is my first android phone. I am glad and happy using it. With these, i can access my account here on mylot.com. this new phone is 3 months old and i planned not to buy new one in the next two years.

The phone I currently use is about 15 months old, I think. I only got it because my last phone didn't have a camera on it, and with the job I had I wanted to be able to take pictures. So I got a basic prepaid one. It does the job well enough, or so I thought up until November of last year. I had gotten a new job at that time and as it required a lot of driving I was told I would need a phone with navigation (my current phone doesn't have it). So I ended up getting one (an android). Unfortunately that job didn't work out, so I'm back to using my current cell phone as it is cheaper to operate. I'm also stuck with a new (but slightly used) cell phone that I don't need anymore. I don't plan to change to another phone anytime soon, but if I do, I'll probably just reactivate the android one.
Happy mylotting

I just got my phone a year ago, although it is not new, nor too old, I am still using it. I don't play a lot of games with it, nor watching or listening music to it that much. I simply surfing the web most of the time, or make phone calls, or text. So, I won't change it any time soon, and I am in my budget right now.

My phone is a cheap phone, it is just over a year old and I will say that I do not like it one bit.
It is on another net work that ends up costing me a lot more money, also there are features on it that I have never used and things that I wish it had on it like my old phone that broke before this one.

Have you checked with the manufacturer if they allow you to upgrade the Operating System (OS) that came with the phone? Usually, it is the OS rather than the hardware, unless the hardware has too little power to support it.
I just changed mine to an Android 2.3.6 for free (after 3 years on contract), and I update it to Android 4.0.1 which pretty much solves any issue. Except a bit slow though.
Don't change for the sake of games...Save the money. Play game at home on desktop instead. You will be more productive throughout the whole day too. ok?

I am maintaining 2 phones, a blackberry and an iPhone. My blackberry is already 2 years old when it quit working o me after I moved here, while my iPhone is still doing great. It's only a couple of months in my possession. My blackberry is for business contacts while my iPhone is for personal use.
