I have only recently discovered that Swagbucks now has coupons. I didn't realize it before because I haven't always been interested in printing coupons. Some places are picky about accepting them. But when I saw that Swagbucks had them, I figured I'd try a few, and my store does take them, yay. They also double them if they're less than $1.
I also found another site called SavingStar that allows you to post coupons directly onto your shoppers reward card. However, instead of taking the savings off your total, it's accumulated on the site and you're paid when you earn $5.
The beauty of it is the coupons on SavingStar can currently be used along with manufacturer's coupons (though they don't like it so they're bound to put a stop to that eventually).
I found many of the same coupons on Swagbucks as are on SavingStar, so I got double savings on a lot of my purchases today at the store.
So, I'm saving money with the coupons, and earning 10 Swagucks for each coupon I use, and accumulating some earnings on SavingStar! Making money while saving money!

There are very few things I buy brand name so I hardly ever use coupons. However, I had seen a promo for SavingsStar but I had asked on here I'm sure about it and I didn't get too many responses. And the only grocery store with a rewards/shoppers card is the one I don't really go to anymore so it makes no difference I guess. But let me know when you get cash out from them maybe I'd sign up for kicks.

I know there's no referral system which I don't care about. I'd like to save money if I could if I happened to buy something that's part of their system. Though I've also long lost that grocery card and they just look me up by my phone number in the pinpad so I'd have to re register for a card again.

I don't think Saving Star works on a referral system, so it wouldn't help me one way or the other if people signed up. I did add one of my cards that I never use because I don't live near that store.. but figured I'd add it for the heck of it. And I add the coupons I probably won't use just for the heck of it too.. you never know what might happen.

I wish my printer had ink and it wasn't so darn expensive to get ink. I used to print out coupons. I signed up for savings star but didn't really do much with it. I also was printing out coupons from mypoints but I think swagbucks has the better deal because you can trade in your bucks for more then just gift cards.

The thing I didn't like with Mypoints coupons is you have to use a certain amount per month and it's a flat rate of like 25 points or something? With Swagbucks it's 10 points per coupon, so you're really earning more there.

That's brilliant, so long as they are for things that you'll actually use. So many of the coupons I see are for things I wouldn't normally buy, so even massively discounted it would be something extra I'd be spending money on.
I think coupons are a bigger thing in the US that Europe.

I agree.. I am very picky about what coupons I will use as often the generic version is cheaper even with the coupon.

This is wonderful and I bet it made you feel better as I know that you are a young lady that loves a bargain! Well done on making money whilst spending money! I so wish that we had something like that out here. However, we are seeing a few reduced prices as two new supermarkets have opnened in the town so the two old ones had better stop price guaging

Competition is pretty good at lowering prices. You can also price compare at the different stores. It's not uncommon for me to split my shopping between different stores as I know certain things are cheaper in other stores besides my regular one.

I have been printing off coupons on Swagbucks for a while now. I also use SavingStar but I don't get much money on there since I don't shop a lot at places that has reward cards.

The printable coupons are one of my favorite ways to earn from Swagbucks. I printed off a few of the Diet Pepsi coupons a couple days ago. I don't drink Diet Pepsi but the store down the street has 2 liters on sale for $1 and they match coupons to make every one worth at least $1. I got three bottles of Diet Pepsi for free and gave them to a friend who drinks it.
We don't have any local stores that do the SavingStar thing yet. I wish we did... I love stacking coupons when I can!

I don't use many coupons since I tend to buy basics only (fresh fruits and vegetables, flour, salt, meat, etc.), but I have noticed the coupons on Swagbucks. I haven't printed any off, though. I should look through them to see if there is any I can use.

The stores I shop allow the online printed coupons. There are some limitations like no Free products or anything buy one get one free. That's not bad, but of course the store manager is allowed to turn the coupon if he'/she so feels like being an a$$ that day. No questions asked.
I'm going to be looking into SavingStar.

I've heard about swagbucks but had a problem joining there. I'm not sure if I could use the coupons since I am not a US citizen nor do I live in the US.

Good to hear that you are doing that. Coupons can actually make you save a lot. You are doing the right thing and so far this method is a good method in cutting down expenses. I do surveys online and earn vouchers. It really helps me with my monthly expenses. I thank God for the existence of the legit surveys online.

There are really several sites that are not allowed in our country especially those offering coupons like this two sites that you mentioned. Well, I am happy that you can be able to have these opportunities.
This is really a good form of saving. Keep it up!

That's fantastic! I'm happy to hear you're now able to save more money, and make more points. Unfortunately here in the UK swagbucks doesn't give us any coupons, so I can't make use of that part of the site. My swagbucks points go up very slowly... but I guess it all adds up, eventually.
