When I opened the television early this morning I was surprised since the tv program was about cockfighting with various guest who shared their knowledge on how to handle and manage a farm. Moreover, what catches my interest is his statements that says"The chicken had their instinct already to fight. Even before that they are not being taught how to fight, they are already fighting because of territory. People should not be mad of cockfighting because even before it already exist from our ancestors. Moreover they consider this aa a kind of sports. My lotters what can you say about this?

I hate cockfighting. It is horrible. They can fight in the barnyard and that is fine but why bet on it and put spirs on them and all. What a life!

I also agree with you. It's violent, it's another way of animal abuse as bullfights are. It's barbaric, it's murderous and it doesn't teach anything good to be people but being violent. For me this is not a honest way of work and I don't see it as entertainment, art or culture. I hope in the future it will be forbidden. ALVARO

I see cockfighting as gambling in some ways. I pity the chickens as well. I'm not in to it.

It could be fun. Our driver spent 5 thousand pesos and he thought, it is better to lose than not betting at all. People spent even in raising the roosters for the fight. There is so much to lose.It is quite a gamble.I could not waste five thousand just like that.I rather spend it shopping

My husband has been an enthusiast of that sport (if it's even a sport ) He has been raising fighting fowls since he was in College. And we do manage to sell some of them every now and then. He used to win between 50-60k pesos. But of course, there were times that he'd lose money from it. So it is much better to breed the chicken instead.

My husband has a great interest on this kind of activity that is why I would oftentimes see that kind of show on television. He is also taking care of some ro0ster and preparing these for a great fight. This is his only hobby and enjoyment so I would just let him do it. One of the main satisfaction that he can get from taking care of ro0ster is when the chicken won the fight. I think every breeder has this kind of thinking. Breeding is already a business in our country. Actually, I am joking my husband that I would also set up a website for him regarding this one. Although of course it would be hard for me because I don't know anything about it and he don't know anything a bout internet. Have a nice day!

Well with the statement you've said it simply means that we are really a unique individual no two are the same. We have different point of interest in life and all we can do is to respect that.I appreciate your respect towards your husband with his hobby.

Cockfighting is one of the most ancient game that one could recognize and still is creating its own place in the world. I don't know why people are so excited about it because they themselves doesn't know that they are actually fighting.

It is a good sport, Some breeders are really making a fortune of it. The cost of one rooster is really costly. A person who are angry of the sport is maybe a person who don't even know how to take care of one rooster. Roosters are breed for the purpose people spend money, time and effort so let us respect everyone's choice in life.
