I now know why the horizontal list at the top of the page (the one between "OMG! Mom has white teeth!!!" and the tabs on home, interest, discussions etc)is called a banner.
Cos I seem to be banned from using it!
I used to spend a lot of time clicking on interesting subject headings as they scrolled across to take part or simply read what people had been up to. Now when I do this, I just get an annoying blank page with the Mylot address ending in "default/aspx." Like this one, after I clicked on a discussion about "making money":

See what I mean???? I couldn't start any of my own discussions either; when I clicked on the interest links, the same thing happened.
Odd, the only time it didn't happen was when I clicked on a mylot discussion. I don't intend to sit here writing about how wonderful ML is all the time - maybe it's time to move on.

Maybe you can just come back after a few hours or days? Errors happen sometimes, don't rush.

It works fine at my end. But I have experienced it before. it is either your connection is slow or that the site is loading slow itself.

It could well be my connection. Hopefully getting PC overhauled soon - maybe that will fix it?

not knowing is the bad part. if its you, a glitch, your computer or security. 
im sure it will work out soon. ive had problems when others werent and it soon resolved. hang in there it will be fine. 
btw, im not having the problem. check your preferences.

I'm sorry you're having trouble here. I'm currently having issues with the "preview response" button. It goes to a blank page. I'm forced to say "To heck with it " and post my reply even though there might be mistakes. Not like I always catch them even in the preview anyhow. I'm staying here though because I love this site.

That interest page is showing up just fine for me.
Have you tried refreshing the page? I sometimes get blank pages and refreshing at least once seems to make them load like they should. I think it's a known issue with the site... seems to happen for a while, then go away, then come back again. I don't know what the problem is but they should fix it. It's frustrating trying to find discussions to read and have every page you open come up blank. 
I hope you don't leave because of this. Maybe just take a time out? You can keep all of your earnings if you log in at least once every 90 days. Maybe they'll get things fixed by the time you come back if you do that.2 people like this

Before I go any further - sorry to you and all my other MyLot friends who I didn't reply to. PC problems plus been in hospital and couldn't type.
Anyhow, tried everything including logging out and then back in again. Every now and then I get a "hit" but only if I access the site thru' hotmail. Is it to do with being in the UK I wonder? Guess I'll have to go ask Alice.

Oh why is that so , maybe some technical problem only. Did you commit a violation ? Hope not ! Don't worry it will be back , just try it again and have patience.

No violations that I know of. It seems to be a programming problem - maybe my PC is infected?

I haven't seen this happen to my all the time i am here in mylot today. perhaps because i did not create new discussions and was only just responding to existing mylot friends' discussion. when i comment on the people's response in my topic, i saw no issues as well.. i think it could probably be only when creating new discussions.

hi jazzsue its one of mylots glitches so just wai, try again try and it will be fine. If we all quit because of a monor glitch mylot would just die. and as for writing about how wonderful mylot is a lot of those discussions get deleted too.Stick to it and you will see its all repaired again. business as usual too. We need p

Well sometimes you may get an error or two make sure that you check your browser, because I use to not be able to get on this page until i started using a different browser. Sometimes they may have some technical issues, so you will have to wait an hour or a few days or so. I am on here fine, but I waived all options before leaving. Sometimes it will happen and make sure that you are on mylot site as well. Yeah try a different browser. Hope it helps.

I get blank pages, too. It's one of the common glitches in mylot. Along with having PMs and responses eaten. these last two seem to happen to me and then after a week or two other people start having the same problems. I don't participate as much.
