My father is a war veteran from the Philippines. Until now, he gets no benefit. His contemporaries have been receiving their pensions and benefits for years now. We had already submitted application and documents as proof of his participation in the war. But they rejected the application due to lack of documents and according to them, his name is not listed in their list of war veterans. My father has been waiting for this for years. He is now 85 years old and still waiting for his benefits. Can somebody help my father in claiming my father's benefits?

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well that is very aweful to hear about the treatment done to your father and i think there is no respect for such great people in our society. how can they ask for the proof when he was a real war veteran. i think higher officials have lost their mind, may be u should bring this matter to the media they will help u a lot.
What say?

We did approach Channel 7 for this. They just gave us recommendation letter. We gave this to the Philippine Veteran. But they just repeated the process. In the end, same results, his name is not recorded in their list. They asked for more documents but we presented all the documents we have at hand.

It's more than 6 decades already ....where do they think we can find those documents they need as proof. Do you think an 85 year old man would lie or took time out to travel from Bulacan to Manila if he knew it was just a waste of time.
