@Mavic.I agree everyone made and makes mistakes but unknowingly and sometimes knowingly. ''To err is Human'' but we should never break the rules or commit an error knowingly. Happy online postings.

i read it and it was very informative....as to what to avoid. i guess she is just trying hard to make a buck. you could see that it is an mlm. ppl in mlms are like that. they will stop at nothing. one thing i don't understand is how she spammed. didn't she post it in the right category at least? another thing is i though that you could direct people to your mylot profile page with your link on it if they asked? i just thought you couldn't post the link itself.

You're right Rekinjutsushi, starting a discussions and directly promoting his/her ref link is not good, anyone can understand that he/she is spamming..because that website is itself spam and i wonder why that person is promoting even if he/she knew that. @moongypsy,this type of thing is not a honest mistakes.he/she just made it knowingly and probably trying to spam others.

hey there! the link you share ahs already been deleted. :D But yeah i think of course we are only humans, new, old members, returning members.. we all have been violators of certain rules at one point, so i bet we should just try to minimize it. anyway our post would be irrelevant and we won't get anything from them if they got deleted to anyway. might as well spend our time wisely. :D cheers!

Yeah you're righ that discussions have been already removed and i hope that person and all mylotters will not commit such voilations here after. I also learn a lesson from that and also i will try to never repond to such discussions.

The discussions cited are removed now. I have not seen too much of this, though I have seen links on profiles, even of older members, that link to commerce pages. Linking to your own personal blog is one thing, but affiliate programs and the like are obviously not allowed. There have been times in a discussion that a link would be really helpful, but I have abstained from doing so since a few discussions were deleted for including links for more information.

Many people lose their account here and among them are those who blame myLot and never themselves. There was a glitch last summer and we ALL lost the banners in our profiles but most of us have put them back and they are still there. There are rules as to what we cannot place there but we are allowed to promote those sites which we are part of and recruit referrals for them in our profile.

Yeah, I saw that on another discussion. That is good to know, though strange a banner I had was removed years ago from my profile shortly after adding it. Who knows why. Maybe it was just ugly. I saw a rant awhile back that someone had an account deleted because they had a lot of blog and affiliate links, though perhaps that was not actually the real reason. There are some guidelines that are vague, and that was one that seemed to be by a lot of people. I guess I just played it safe too long.

It looks like its already been deleted. But that is why I try to avoid discussions that people make like this and plus I don't make discussions that include spam. I think that when people are unsure about making a discussion, either don't make it or go read the guidelines first and then make the choice. But you are so right new and old members should always read the guidelines. I still go back and read them every now and then because I forget what it states in the guidelines and I want to make sure that I don't break any of the guidelines. But if anything older members should know that they cannot make discussions with spam in them. Its unbelievable that the person made such a discussion unless she didn't realize that she was making a spam discussion until someone brought it to her attention.

yeah both samples provided here have already been deleted. I guess causing a controversy that is, being posted and shared in such a discussion like this, the admin was quick to have it deleted already. =)

It is surprising to me how much importance and strain are given by you in this subject. I am making this response without reading any of the links that you posted, but to get a copy of it in my page of " Responses you made". All this links may be useful to me later. No need to be emotional when any member senior or junior breaks law and regulations of this site. Take it easy and friendly. Most of us are participating here to increase online earnings directly from MyLot or from sources discussed at here. A bit spamming may come as a part of it.

"A bit spamming may come as a part of it." Spam is abuce and causes everyone who participates in the topic where it occurs to lose their earnings when admin deletes the posts concerned! No-one earns for deleted posts and if you are aware of the rules in those links then your time spent here will be worth more. Of course, it is your choice whether to read them or not but don't blame anyone except yourself if your earnings are disappointing if you don't read them.

Hello mysdianait, Please read what I wrote in this order - [ a bit spamming may come - don't be emotional]. I meant no need of emotional fighting among members, using words like shocked, junior, senior etc. If one writes " X site is a good site and explains his/her benefits received from that site" it is a bit spamming too. There are so many such discussions everyday. Without giving name of site, any such discussion can be imaginary too. Please see this line mine too. " All this links may be useful to me later". I haven't underestimated it, but given proper consideration to read it at proper occasions.

Yeah you shouldn't be spamming, no matter you are old or new. It's against mylot rules to spam. And it can get you banned if you spam mindlessly, especially not only spam also trying to scam other people. If that person keep doing that, she will face her consquences later anyway. I think mylot admins will take care of it.
