there are very kind hearted people who help the blind to cross or if its someone on a wheelchair you would help push them or if they are on crutches help them climb a bus.unfortunately they are those who don't help because they feel scared, uneasy or just uncomfortable.or some peopel just decide to ignore them,do you ever offer to help them?

My parents had inspired me to help the handicapped and I obey what they had told me to do.I leave my seat in buses and trains,I help them cross the road,I read their letters if they are blind. My parents had helped a handicapped, poor boy to pay for his studies until he got employed in a local company. Now my parents are no more, but their kindness is still a source of inspiration for me.I leave no chance to help the hadicapped.

That's why you're a 10 else22 :) It would be a far better world, if we all felt the same way about each other. Some many people use family as a form of personal bias amongst themselves, but it's not like that at all

I agree with you, nickers. It would really be a much better world if we help each other when we are in problem.Once I had to board a train after being seriously injured in a road accident. The compartment I boarded was packed beyond its capacity. Then one of the passengers had left his seat for me saying,'You are injured,my friend, sit here.I will manage.'That was really a very kind and cordial geature for a stranger like me who was then unable to stand on his legs.

If and when it is possible, I help everyone I can handicapped or not. Working with the public as long as I have I have experienced many different types of people. Although, sometimes, people are too proud and get upset when you try to help them. And sometimes it makes people uneasy and upset. For example, a stranger in a wheelchair may not want to be pushed. Their chair is an extension of them, and a stranger touching them/their chair can upset them.

i agree with you,we should help all those we can and those especially who need our help because there are people who are so moody and wont want help but they should not make us scared to assist people.

I help when I can but handicapped people don't go often in public here,I believe it's because they are treated like second class citizens.People park their vehicles in the disabled parking space,it's almost impossible to use public transport for them, they don't even have a library service so they could access a necessary information. They talk about gay rights, racism, but when it comes to disabled people, there's suddenly silence.

thats so true, there is not enough facilities to make them comfortable so they also keep away from where they have to mix with us, the society has talked so much on rights about other groups and forgotten championing for the handicapped.like here in my country at some point they wanted all buildings fitted with ramps so that those on wheelchairs would find it easier to access but after talking no one follows up to do this things.

Yes of course many times already, Sometimes when I am on my way to buy bread I happened to passed to a man in the sidewalk, wanting for food to eat, it was early in the morning, so I buy one for him and a hot coffee on a styro glass and on my way back I gave it to him. I felt happy after of what I'm doing. I went home satisfied of what I've done.

I would help but I base that off experience. I don't want to go into personal experiences but we have to help each other. One day that person could be you or a person you love. What do you achieve ignoring someone? Why accept being rude just because it puts you out. They didn't ask to be in that situation. No one does but if you had a handicapped friend who was helped by a stranger, you'd probably feel good about that. The only way to create joy is to spread joy by doing what you can be to helpful
