Fortune favors the brave...What do you think?

I am an extremely blessed person in this world. I've amazing friends and have had the ability to assist people in their worst times of need. The thing that makes it all possible, I think, is courage. We have to have courage to speak, make ourselves known, and also to accept the help of the very courageous who speak for us (I've had many awesome people who spoke for me, and am very grateful every day).
Flea, of the RHCP, wrote an EP about Helen Burns, a fictional character from Jane Eyre who was full of goodness. I am not a person filled with such goodness, but I have met them, and I believe they should be protected in this world, and it's my job to do that. Thus Courage is used to protect our own personal rights, and to protect the rights of others. Out of this, great friendships and charities can be formed, and civilization can go forward, with hopes that the elimination of poverty can be seen within my own life time.
All such visions begin with courage. Do you think Fortune favors the brave? Have you any personal stories of how your own courage has helped yourself, or others? Perhaps being there for a family who has a child who is ill, and just bringing them some food on the holidays...all these things, they take courage to step out of the box. I myself, live in eternal gratitude of some who have been there for me. What about you?

Yes you must be brave to gain favor for fortune, In order to succeed you must do the first step. In a person the first step is very valuable for you don't know what will be the outcome you must be brave in doing it. If that first steps succeed it will ignite your courage to do things whenever you plan to start new venture in the future.

Some real, solid common sense there! You know, it's good to be reminded that no matter how many self help books we have, the philosophy you so succinctly outlined in your post is really all there is to need. I hope you saw my post to you in your other section, about using http://www.lulu.com to further your writing career. It's free and many people publish their books there. You can even have an isbn number so your writing can be sold on Amazon.com. Nice thing to have, your own coffee table book, written by you, on your own coffee table. I say, Go for it!

I agree with it. You have to be brave to ever achieve something and the things you don't you'll learn a lot from. It's not a key to eternal happiness but it's all for having no fear. If you live in fear all the time, you'll put pressure on yourself, you'll be unhappy because you didn't try and then you have to live with the what if's etc - which we can all do without. Life is for living so be brave but accept sometimes you can't get what you want

Yes, it is all about being brave. It's about living to the fullest and getting what we want out of life, not being under some microscope and having people tell us what we can and cannot have. Be brave, refuse to be silenced, and be strong.
When you say that you cannot always get what you want, is there something you personally want but have not been able to attain? Maybe I or some others here can help you. Feel free to post, I do not judge or harass.

Hi, you are very right. If you have courage, you can speak the truth. But in most of the cases, the courage people suffer a lot for speaking the right things. Because bad but powerful persons do not like that people will criticize him/her. Most of the hardliners do harm to the good speakers, who speak the truth boldly. Have a very nice day.

Yes I agree with you,but I also want to add something on your sentences,fortune favors the brave,and smart and diligent people.
And since the valentine's Day is coming,now I believe that the beauty favors brave,so just tell your girl you love her.
