They're technically not supposed to have phony Facebook accounts at all, based on Facebook's terms of service... but Facebook doesn't bother checking as far as I know. I know a few people who use phony accounts, too, and I think the main way they're earning money with those them is by using them for those paid-to-like sites. One of my friends uses her fake Facebook account to complete Facebook offers on Swagbucks, since they make you like and share different pages and she doesn't want to clutter up her real feed with that junk.

The 25 friends requirement is probably there to make sure the accounts are "real." I bet most of the friends are others who are using the same services to get paid for their likes.

What they really mean is they create an alter ego. Another account separate from the real one they use all the time. They use a different name and everything. Thats what they mean about a fake FaceBook account.

I'm like you and I don't like FB either. I have an account but it's not in my real name. I don't consider it a fake account at all...an account is an account. I'm thinking of opening another account to show off my hand made jewellery but I don't know all the ins and outs of things. That account will also not be fake.

Maybe what they meant was they have put an online shop via Facebook. And instead of placing their names on the account, they have placed the name of their shops. A lot have done that, actually. But some accounts were locked out coz Facebook didn't want it to be a means of earning but rather to just connect to friends and relatives. If one would want to place an online shop via Facebook, they should make a FAcebook page linked to their personal account.

I know a few people who have done this, and were caught. Most money making aspects you need a nu,ber of qualities such as x amount of friends, or x amount of activity.

It does seem like a lot, but I have a number of people on my list who have phoney accounts, or have made accounts to spy on people.

There are ways to make money with facebook and it is very easy to get a facebook acct without using your real identity. As long as you give them all the info they require, they do not check to see if it is real...That is unless they start getting complaints about you. There is fraud everywhere in our world today. Everyone wants to scam the system in every way they can...
