Improving our hobbies/skills is said to be one of the best things that we can do. Because it can lead to us having greater opportunities in the future. Have you seen this to be so in your life? Or are you still working at it to see the benefits for yourself and your family?

We are a creative family, I wonder if we all improved our hobbies, although a part made a job out of it as well. I also doubt you have greater opportunities in future if you improve your hobbies. But what is important about hobbies is that you can lock out the outside world, problems/worries for some time. That while being busy with your hobby you are also able to think over how or what to do plus you will get more and more creative. I think being creative will help in the daily life. You will be able to conquer every problem with that or see in with different eyes. It's also (hobby/creativity) a way to ventilate your feelings.

As much as possible, I do. I go online and see the latest techniques. I read books that teach some more advanced stitches and more complicated projects. I am still doing the basics but I don't plan to remain on that level. I would eventually move on to more complicated and intricate patterns.
