They would rather have your car key rather than a license?

Last night, me and my friends went to Discover Mills, one of game playing places in town. My friends grab a couple of beer and we just want to play billiards, pool. I got my driver's license ready to exchange the balls and racket, but the staff told me, they won't take our driver's license anymore, rather they need the car key. I said "really? I must be out for a long time, I never heard of it." The staff explain to me, some people simply took off and gone without paying for the games, and they are even care about their driver's license. They can get a new from DMV anytime they want, they only report it lost. With a car key, they must come back to pay for the game. That sounds logical to me though.

Yeah there was logic on their reasons behind. But what if one of them is a criminal minded person and will make a duplicate of your keys, then marked you as a prospect.

Sounds logical to me too. I thought it was because there were too many fake one's and that's why they wouldn't bother coming back. How crazy is that though. I would never want to leave my license just to get a few free games in...how ridiculous.
