Copy Pasting Disease

Its not really a disease which involves viruses and bacteria. Anyhow, my seatmate here in the internet library is doing his research on various companies like Pepsi and petron. Anyhow, I really find it very stupid to conduct some assignments and just doing copy pasting on random finds in the internet.
What do you think?

Its pointless because different people have different ways of writing what they think so if blocks of text are copied and pasted from different sources it becomes obvious that it isnt orignal text. Plagarism is punished severely in my educational facilities. Plus you never learn from it
