The unemployment is in increase and also it is our greatest problem that India youth people are facing.(I can't say whether overpopulation is only In India or ?).
You know one thing that, even if i am educated i am sure i will not get any job because of overpopulation(I think am right).
Many people after they graduated or after they come out from schools and colleges, there are no jobs. What they must do now?.
There are also no jobs for hundreds and millions of people that are pouring out of educational institution each year.
I AGREE! It's not possible for each and every people to employ in GOV jobs which is most sought after by the youth of the country.
I think in another two decades by the end of the century people will be starved to death.
I don't think gov is also doing it's best to employ many youth as possible.
Another programme the government of country is to generate more employment is self employment. What is self employment?I don't think!Self employment will help.
What about you,did you agree? No i don't as long as over population is on increase i won't live long....I will be starved to death, because i am unemployed because of overpopulation..and it's our fault.

I dont know friend, i have another indian friend and hes graduating this year and he shared that he didnt want to work in a place that isnt related to his field of education. He wanted to just sit around and do paperwork all day because thats what hes been trained to do for 3 years of his education. Well, in our country, a lot of people dont have jobs, thats not because of overpopulation. There are a lot of jobs available but most educated people wouldnt just take any job. They want something that gets high pay instantly and most of them would rather opt to wait for that opportunity rather than to work their butts off of any low paying job.

Ugh...My ex husband had that kind of thinking. He worked construction and usually made a good amount of money. The problem was that construction work often got very slow in the winter months and he would be without work for months on end. Since he worked for himself, he did not get unemployment benefits. I would suggest that he just take some job ...any job to help out. His reaction was always that he refused to work for under 20.00 per hour. My thinking was some income was better than no income.

That's right, i dont understand as to why they dont take the jobs for the mean time and find themselves better jobs while they are on the job. So what if the pay is lower? It is better than wasting time,

Unemployment has nothing to do with overpopulation. It has to do with the economics in your own country plus world wide. Where robots do the jobs, where "cheaper" employees (in other countries) do the job, where people who have a history of hard working many hours a day, do the job, there is nothing left over for the rest. There is a big difference between working attitude in western countries and other countries. In south European and East European countries there is a complete different attitude if it comes to work also. In many asian countries people work way harder. There are countries/cultures where people (especially men) seldom work. They don't see the need or only work for their daily food and see what to do next tomorrow.
I think people who will make the most chance to survive in the future (in most countries) are those who live in the villages, at the country side, who are able to grow their own food, keep their own animals. Where there is less money to spend.

Thats true, people want the best work done in the cheapest way possible and that can be achieved through the use of modern machines and technology. Humans are expensive and im pretty sure no one is already smarter than a smartphone.

I agree with both of you.Because of mordern ways of technology company also needs less workers.
Just an example..if one machines does the work of 50 then 45 are thrown out of unemployment...

Population is a problem. So is greed. Right now, if the greedy would share, there is enough to go around. In the future, maybe not.
And yeah, unemployment is a huge problem.

Don't lose hope. The best you can do is learn many skills as you can. If there's a lot that you can do good at, employers most probably hire you compared to other jobseekers. At these times where jobs are scarce you must be smart. Stop thinking about negative things, because it will show in you attitude, employers don't want negative people. Instead be someone who knows a lot of jobs and is happy with doing the job. Good luck to you!

Dear friend, this is our tragic moment that when we got a degree, there is no job for us even we are the position holders in our education carrier.. Leave it that you will try the Govt Jobs. Govt jobs are not for everyone. Some people get it through bribe, politician etc and some of them compete the merits..
So i think the solution is to start your own small business. Get a loan or withdraw your savings, invest in small business, and put your all struggle to boost your business. May be you will be able very soon to become a Millionaire and you will recruit the employees in your firm, that will be reduce the numbering of UN-employers.

We Indians have spent a lot of our time debating on unemployment. That too if you are a commerce student you probably spent half your life figuring out this problem theoretically and practically :P
Its something that starts with society's biggest evil - Corruption

The unemployment is quite great in China. More severe than the government's data. Many college student can not get a job as soon as they graduate from the college. Some of them have to do some part-time job with low salary at the beginning to support themselves.
While in other sides, old people even in their 70s can get a job easily, most of the jobs do not need special skills and can be done well by young men. So I do not know how employers choose their empolyees. Maybe they just want to hire someone who dare not fight for their own benefits.

We also have the same problem in our country.
When we had our Local Poverty Action Plan formulation, I came to know several reasons for unemployment to wit: they believe no job is available for them, bad weather, taking care of their younger siblings, too old or too young to work and a lot more.
I always believe that if we want to work there will always be a way and if we don't want to work there are also lots of excuses available.
Have a nice day!

Cheer up ,you,ll soon get a job ,be optimistic .employment has nothing to do with over population .Hard work definitely pays .In India ,if children from poor families can clear the civil services and CA then nothing is impossible .Good luck .

I agree...unemployment is a big problem in India. There are so many youth in our country who are well qualified and deserving but without any job. I am a student now and do not know what lies in my future ahead.
I always dream of passing my college with good marks and join a good reputed company where I can get a good package and fulfill the requirements of myself and my family. But I do not know if I ever I will be able to achieve my dreams. It hurts so much to think that in spite of our country being so rich in terms of natural resources, the general public has to suffer because of the corrupt politicians.
Over-population may be a factor but I guess government is also quite incapable in providing jobs to the deserving youths :(

Unemployment is a serious problem in my country, because there are many educated people don't have job. But, it is life. Just be optimist and be prepared in any condition we are facing. How we can win in a competition to get job without a struggle. Actually, an overpopulation is not the cause of unemployment. But, most people are waiting for jobs that having salary, which makes those people are competing in getting jobs. We can start other kind of businesses such as become an entrepreneur, a farmer, a fisherman and many more alternatives. But, if you are insisting on a favorite job, you need to struggle to win the competition among the overpupulation to have the job. Good luck
