There are so many different types of clothes. And there is always a newest and latest trend. Do you try to keep up with each season fashions, or the new trend? Are you always shopping for clothes? I think if I were like that all my money would be going to buying new clothes. I don't shop a lot for clothes, I don't have ten pairs of shoes, or anything like that. I do like to shop every now and then and get a new outfit for special occasions and then that would be added to my wardrobe. But I don't try and buy new clothes each week. That would add up to be very costly. The only time I would do something like that is if I were at a second hand store and found some needed items for a good deal.

We spend our money wisely, don't we, Dominique? Being a mother, I need to prioritize the needs of my family. But if there was a huge sale and i can afford to spend a few bucks, then I splurge. But I don't just buy for myself, but for all my kids as well.

Once we are into family we have to think twice before spending the money but I do the purchases or shopping for my children and me whenever they want

Yes we do. We have to when we live on a tight budget and have other more important things that we have to use our money for. Sometimes when my husband and I think about shopping we always make comments about how long it has been since we bought clothes. Money goes fast enough already and it would go way to fast if we shopped for clothes every week.

I like buying new clothes and shoes. I love following the trend. But I can't afford to go shopping on a regular basis. But if I could then I would. If money grows on trees, I'll be in the mall buying clothes, shoes and bags all the time. But since it sis very hard to earn a nice amount of money and I still have to worry about expenses of my family. I don't buy clothes that often. Only when we have a lot of extra cash to burn then we buy clothes for ourselves.

If I had a lot of money I would like to buy more new clothes. Especially matching shoes and purses . I love things like that. But with having a small family I have to keep my priorities in order. I enjoy buying clothes for my daughter. It's nice to see her in cute new outfits.

Hi dominique!
Since i use uniform in my office,I can no longer use some of my clothes so I don't buy clothes often. My sister would also give me some of the clothes that she is not using and that is enough for me.
Buying new clothes is not my priority this time. Have a nice day!

I understand what you mean. My husband has to wear a uniform to work so that helps a great deal in the day to day activities. He just will need to get a couple more casual outfits for when we go visit family and friends. I agree with you new clothes isn't a priority for us at this time either.

That's good buy thing when it is necessary and is affordable. For me I seldom by clothes but if I do, it must be with quality and the less is four.

Yes that is definitely what I try to do. I do like to buy clothes but I don't like to spend unnecessary money on them. I think when we have a a couple pants, shirts, comfy clothes, dresses for me then we should be all set. I don't think there is any need to continously add to our clothes because then we end up just not wearing a lot of them.

I completely agree with you. I too am of the same opinion and buy clothes only for special occasions. But I am not really comfortable with the idea of buying stuff from second hand stores. I remember reading an article a couple of months ago that some people in Europe buy clothes, wear it for one event and then return it back using the return policy. I was shocked

Wow, yeah that is crazy that people do that. So it just shows when you think you are buying new clothes you really may be buying a second hand item. Yeah some people are particular but the clothes that they buy. But we aren't that particular if the clothes is in good condition we are happy with it and generally everyone has a washer so they can wash the clothes before they were them. Sometimes people still may have to wash new clothes before they were them so I would rather save the twenty or so extra dollars and just wash gently worn items.

I don't always shop for clothes because I am not so into fashion. I only buy new ones when I need it for certain occasion and when there are discounts offered by shopping malls.

I wouldn't mind being so into fashion it's just for me it's hard to keep up and way too expensive . I do like seeing purses and shoes that match. I think that is so cute but for things like that it cost $80. So I will have to pass. Yeah I agree it is a good idea to buy clothes when there is a discount.

I never clothes shop for myself, I do shop for the children, but I refuse to buy branded clothes as it is only the name that you are paying for.
I feel that there are lots of my friends that are always getting things for their children that are named brands and they are always skint.
I only buy clothes for my children, as well as my husband if we really need to, as to me it would be throwing a lot of money away, which we could useto treat our self every now and then.

To tell you frankly whenever I go for shopping and happen to see new print and colour of Saree I feel like buying the same. But mostly without fail I buy the saree on each and every occasion like any festival in the house, anyone marriage or happen to visit any exhibition etc.

We normally buy dresses before Eid (Eidul Fitore) and some other times, when necessary. Have a nice day.

Yeah I agree that we should shop when it is necessary or when there are great deals that we could benefit from. Otherwise we just end up spending a whole lot of money that is needed for other more important things. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it.

No it's very rare for me to shop for clothes. I don't like to buy clothes, I don't like to try them at the shops, I Always have in mind what I like (so already at the doorstep I can see/know they are not selling it) I also have less money to spend, plenty of clothes in my cupboard (although I still don't fit into them but hope I will soon...) plus there are still people who give me some or for my children.

I'm starting to feel the same way when about shopping. The last couple of times that I have went shopping to find a top I have ended up being very frustrated. Which is starting to make me not like shopping. First off I usually go to second hand stores and it takes a lot longer to find something that I like and that will fit right. And I hate trying on clothes. I'm hoping to lose weight so I don't plan on buying clothes until I reach my goal or at least get close to it. My daughter as well gets clothes from others which is nice. Just this week she got a bag of clothes from my a friend of the family.

Before when I was young, and still exploring on things such as fad and fashion styling, we tend to have this feeling of collecting almost any fad fashionable stuffs in mind. Resulting that we somehow always shop for clothes.
But as we transition to be older and be mature, we think of saving rather than buying a lot of things. It’s not that we are too thrift to buy stuffs, it’s just that we need to think of something more important and rather than buying fashion.

Yes there are a lot of people who love to shop even though they may already have a closest full of clothes. Some people just like to have changes of styles and clothes they would like to wear. I hope that you have a great time shopping when you go to the sales this month.

Glad to hear that you have the freedom to shop for clothes like you want. It can be a good thing to have options of what to wear. For us when we look in the closest it doesn't take us long to find something that we can throw on. I'm hoping though to lose weight and then I will probably buy me a nice outfit to wear.
