For my birthday last summer my daughter gave me a gorgeous bracelet that has two hearts on it. ONe is a small filigree heart and the the other is a heart that on one size says We love our Gram and the other side is the names of all my grandkids. It doesn't have a very good clasp on it and I've been meaning to take it to a jeweler to have a safety chain on it because it kept falling off. About 2 months ago I noticed it wasn't on my wrist and I got so upset. For those 2 months I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. I moved furniture looking under everything and still nothing. Yesterday I started vacuuming and moved the microwave cart and low and behold there it was! I move that cart every day and I know it wasn't there. I have a feeling my cats have been playing with it and it ended up there where they couldn't get to it to keep playing with it. I'm so happy to have found it and today will check out the jeweler to get a security chain on it. Have you ever lost a piece of jewelry that meant a lot to you? Did you ever find it?

I never lost any of my own jewelry but I did lose a necklace I bought for my mother years back. It was a Christmas gift, already wrapped up, put in the car with the other gifts and it disappeared. I looked for days for that necklace and never did find it and can't imagine what could have happened to it.

Isn't that amazing? We can lose something and never find it. It has to be somewhere right? Just before this last Christmas I found a gift I had bought for my granddaughter last year. Still wrapped. I bought her so much last year and didn't even know anything was missing. So, I gave it to her this year!

I lost this a long time ago so it's gone forever. Maybe somehow it fell out of the bags I was carrying with all the gifts...I'll never know.
That's funny about your granddaughters gift, lol! I know when I was wrapping my granddaughters gifts this year I had to count them and make sure I had everything. Stuff was hiding everywhere so she didn't see anything when she would come over.

I just wanted to add in one reminder this post brought and I feel comfortable to share it here.
My mom had received a bead bracelet from my sister. Well it ended up going missing one day. She found one or two beads... and she felt so unsure how that had happened. We ended up being pretty sure it was one of my sister's daughters. They were playing with it and knew it was from their mom and had broken it. Otherwise theer would be no beads here from that bracelet, it hadn't been made here. Well its a little sad my mom lost that present but still kind of neat that her daughter was so intrigued with it.

I very seldom wear jewelry since I spend most of my time in my apartment. Now that I found it I keep it on my desk in front of my pc so I'll know where it is. It is very precious to me even though it's not an expensive item. I was soooo happy I found it.

Since it does not have a good grasp together it must have got detached it from the other part while you are working and drop onto the floor. You cat saw it and started to play with it and somehow it got slipped under the microwave cart. I dropped my gold ring on the road and minutes later I retraced my foot steps and managed to find it. Thank God for helping to find it. Just imagine I dropped in on the way to have my morning breakfast in the market. Anybody could have seen and took it as it was a busy road. A word of advice: Get it fix it by the jeweller.

I have lost a piece of jewelry that really does mean a lot to me. That was my engagement ring. I was helping my mother to make Christmas cookies at her house and I took my rings off so that they wouldn't get all gummed up and then I forgot that I'd left them on the table. When I went back to get them, my wedding band was there, but my engagement ring was not. We searched her house high and low for the ring (including looking inside my nieces toys) and we couldn't find it. Well, three months later, my sister-in-law was playing with my niece and her little purse that I'd gotten her for her first birthday, and inside the purse was my engagement ring. I was so very happy that it was found.

I've lost a few of them. And I am sure that somebody took them but of of course, nobody will admit it. It gotten lost cause my mother in law just went her way into my stuff and asked her helpers to gather up my tings and place it in a huge box. That was the time when my husband and I were having some problems that I decided to leave the house. Well, not only were the jewelries that gotten lost, but as well as my other clothes, bags and shoes. (Don't you just think my mother in law is so adorable?)

i experience that too, good for it takes only a matter of days for you. It took a year for me. I packed my clothes and went on vacation I brought my favorite watch with me. On the way, I used the new watch given to me by my brother. I stayed almost 3 month in the farm of my grandfather and I was not able to used the clothing I brought with me for there are clothes stock on the room given and all of them are new for me to used I just don't knew why it all fitted to me for everytime I asked my grandfather of the clothes he just smile and said it is all meant for you. When I return home I forgot to open my baggage for I hurriedly placed it on the closet. Day after I arrived I remember my watch for it was my birthday and I want to use it. I have no idea the whereabout of my favorite watch. Almost two years after the watch was given to me by my sister who assisted me in arranging all the content of the closet.

I am glad there is a happy ending, and you found it... eventually, sometimes when we lose something, it's only when we've finally given up looking for it, that it actually turns up, like it's been deliberately hiding from us. I used to wear a gold chain with a cross which had sentimental value to me rather than worth, when I went swimming, I don't like to wear it, so I take it off and I put it in my bag, well I had forgotten to put it back on, and when I got home, I couldn't find it, I searched my bag over and over again, I began to wonder if I had left it at the leisure centre where I went swimming, but nothing had been handed in. I was quite upset, this was on a Monday, by the end of the week I had given up, it was only when mum came back from the launderette on the Sunday that it had got caught up in my towel which I had put in the laundry bin, don't ask me how it got there, I was so damn relieved. I never wore it again. I keep it in safe in my little safe.

we gave our daughter a gold bracelet for Christmas and she has already lost it. good for us that it didn't cost us anything. it was left in the lost and found in an office that i worked at and i got to bring it home and i am passing some of my jewelry down to my daughters for Christmas each year but i am sure she will probably never find it.

The cats say that they know nothing about any bracelet.
I lost one of my favorite necklaces several years ago when I moved back in briefly with my parents. I never did find it, and I still think that my mother had something to do with the necklace "mysteriously" disappearing.

Its so nice to find a precious gift like this intact and not destroyed. I"m glad you found it whre it was, in one piece. If it was the cats then I suppose they liked the shiney bracelet. But you should get it fixed as soon as you can so it won't get lost again!
