Though I hate to leave my wonderful country of Canada with great health benefits, during my recent trip to Hawaii I experience absolutely no symptoms of fibromyalgia. I am itching to go back there and be free of pain, fatigue and sleep difficulties again. My husband was so surprised to see how I was able to keep up with all the activities I planned for us. I had no trouble getting up in the morning, no trouble sleeping at night, never felt sore or tired. Whether it's the salty air, warm weather or a combination of both, I don't know. I just know that Hawaii is where I want to be.

Pretty much right where I am, I think. The only difference would be that I'd buy a nicer place (or perhaps buy and refurbish the entire building of which we currently inhabit the middle floor).
Where I am now has everything I like: it's by the sea, close to shopping but far enough away that it's calm, the people are nice, there's plenty of greenery but it's not isolated, etc.

I would choose to live on a boat in the southern Caribbean...In the Caribbean it does not matter which country you actually call home. You are usually welcomed in any of them when you bring your own residence...I do not need property, the ocean will do...

I know the joy of being afloat but to live without my dogs and without woods, I think not for me

I always had critters onboard my boats...Tiamet the African Grey went to the Caribbean with me 3 times. Dogs are good sailors...If you are not in sight of land for a few days, you have to make sure that you keep a piece of astro turf on the bow for doggie business. Cats are hilarious...they are usually sea sick for the first few days, but after that they make great sailors...You just have to keep them away from the sails...
Believe it or not, there are some really cool uninhabited islands with lots of trees and places to camp and explore...

I have been several times at the CAribbean and I agree with you. I have been in Aruba and St. Maarten in resorts as I have a timeshare. But I also went in a boat from Cartagena de Indias to the San Blas Islands (Kunayala). I had a lot of fun and learnt some of the basics of a boat.

Europe.probably in France or UK or Spain. If in Span or France, i will have to learn a new language. English is all I got. Australia won't be bad either. I don't know but I feel like I was a European in my last life - if I ever had one. America never appealed to me as a country to live but only as a country for leisure or travel. Who knows, I might end up there all along.

What do you call cold there, to me it is not really cold till it is under 5C, 20 is pleasant and 25 is getting too hot. Do you have fires in your house to keep warm?

Never been there so I can't really judge. But Perhaps, it will be cold especially in winter. Actually, it's cold right now even though it's supposed to be summer and the family has a action home in the coldest place in the country so I'm used to the cold.Perhaps, I need to prepare for the snow. But I am looking forward to autumn or spring since we don't have it here. Then again, it's a good excuse to boil some coffee or tea.

i am in Canada and would probably like to stay here but i would want to move near a lake and not necessarily live in a big place, but a nice place that is fixed up and about the same size as my townhouse. we are near Lake Ontario but have to drive for about 20 minutes to get there, i would be happy living on the beach, even in the winter.

Somewhere tropical, in the Pacific region, possibly New Zealand, Hawaii, or the islands in the South Pacific. Would love to be by the sea and the countryside, with either farmland or a modest cottage. The only disadvantage to this idea is their being in another earthquake-prone region.

I will prefer countryside, so I can still live comfortably and buy everyday stuffs I need. But I also have some nature, I prefer grassland and I can do some gardening. I’d love to have a lot of flowers I want and I also prefer some internet connection, so I won’t have a boring life and can still enjoy online interaction as well as spreading my hobby in art as well and exhibist them in the internet and enjoy to interact to people with similar hobbies as well.

It would be hard to choose just one place, especially since I haven't traveled much in my life. I live in North Carolina and have been up North only just below New York, and West to Texas and South to Florida (took a 1 week trip to Peru also).
I definitly prefer the country over the city. I have Aspergers so I prefer not to be around a lot of people plus I get overstimulated from too much activity.
I also like rain, which I hear up North to Maine and over NW to Washington state there is a lot of rain/snow. But that's just in the US, I'm sure there are many exotic places like the Bahamas I wouldn't mind living in either.
Oh and I love the mountains and wildlife, so country again; just not sure where in the "country", like country-South, country-mid-West, or country-West.

I would still prefer to live in the same city, near and close to all my relatives and friends. But I would surely like to buy a bigger property, may be a villa with a sprawling lawn in the front and a big balcony overlooking the lawn and I would love to do it up myself.

I like my country, but I imagine that if I had a lot of money, I would be able to invite a friend or daughter to travel with me to other places. I always have a list of places where I want to go. Some of those places are still waiting, some will have to remain in dreams as I don`t have the health to go. I am happy to keep my house where I live (in Santiago de Chile), but I would have less restrictions to go to other places. I prefer aparthotels and in this moment my aim are the Americas.

If given the chance to go abroad, I would rather choose going to New York. I just find the place more interesting and full of opportunities one can land on most especially when you have set skilled and finished a degree such as in media and in the arts.
It’s also the place for me to get noticed most especially for fame like we usually see on televisions and celebrity news.

I live in a poor country but i still like it here, i still believe that this is the best place in the world, its perfect here, the weather the price of the commodities, the natural resources. All beautiful, if not for earning more money abroad, i wouldn't want to leave this place. It's a tropical country too, now who would like to leave paradise so soon.
I hope this discussion does not get deleted. I've seen so many discussions I've responded to be deleted asking people to choose things. Best of luck.
