Changing preferences on mylot.com

Hello everyone, I'm relatively new to this site so I hope you don't mind me asking a quick question. I've tried to search for the answer but I can't find it. I'm trying to reply to a post about 50 Shades of Grey - we all know what the book is about - but I'm not allowed to post my response because it includes certain keywords of a certain nature (it's not rude don't worry! It's a mature discussion that's all) and I'm getting a message saying that I need to change my preferences to state that I'm OK with viewing mature content. I click the link to take me to that page, and it takes me to my account settings etc. The problem is I don't see anywhere on that page (or any of the other pages) the option regarding mature content. Does anyone know where I can find it and what it will exactly say? Really appreciate your response, and I'm sorry if this is the wrong type of thing to post here. Like I said I'm new and still learning the ropes! Thank you :)

Go here: http://www.mylot.com/nr/editprofile.aspx tick the box at the bottom "allow mature content" and then 'update' and the problem will be resolved. Welcome aboard!

Thank you so much! I can't believe I missed it. I see now it's at the end of the 'confirm new password' section so I just skimmed my eyes over that part and didn't read it properly (since I didn't need to change my password). Thanks again!

You are not the first and I guess that you won't be the last to have skimmed past it, don't worry Happy to help!

Haha! That's reassuring at least. I do feel a bit silly but if I'm not the only one who's done it then it's not too bad. The good news is that while I was searching in vain for the mature content option, I found out how to receive email notifications, so that's all sorted now too!

It's at the very bottom of the account settings page at http://www.mylot.com/nr/editprofile.aspx Scroll all the way down, and look to the right of the text field that says "Confirm new password." There's a little check box that says "Allow mature content" there. Check it and save, and you'll be able to see all those hidden posts.

Thank you! I didn't see it because like you said it's next to the 'confirm new password' box and so I didn't think to read that bit - oops!
