I just went shopping and had to pick up Valentine cards for my Granddaughter, Grandson and a special Aunt. I also had to get a birthday card for my grandson who turns 1 year old this month. The price of even the cheapest card is so rediculous! I had a heck of a time finding cards I could afford and having them say something nice other than just Happy Valentine Day or Happy Birthday. I like to get special cards for each person. Luckily I found everything I needed and they were all $4 which to me is a lot of money for a card. Do you send Valentine Cards to anyone? Don't you agree they are very expensive?

I would rather go for cheap, handmade, and a little bit of imagination.while it maybe not sooo super cool but it would be unique. Actually I just want to save that few buck that all, haha

Well, you could always make handmade cards. That would be cheaper, and it would likely be more meaningful to the recipients. Plus, depending on the materials used, homemade cards can be more eco-friendly than many of the store-bought ones you encounter.

I was meaning truly made-by-hand--not printed out. I've done that in the past, and the results were fairly good. Plus, the cost-per-card was fairly low.

i make all of my cards which is much cheaper than buying them! in past years, i have made cards for my family for Valentines day but this year, i have been having problems with my heart and have absolutely no energy for stuff like that. thankfully, my family understands.

I used to print cards out to but I"m out of ink and don't see me affording it in the near future. My grandsons birthday is this month and I spent $60 on clothes for him which for me is a lot of money to spend since my ss is so small. I have to have priorities and he is it!

That's what I spent on my granddaughters card but it's full of stickers and I thought it was really cute. I don't send them out to anyone else unless I get some at the dollar store.

Yeahh..valentine's day. You can surf the net and search for printable cards then buy special pare for cards and print it, I think it will cost you less. But of course it's your card and your grandkids, so you know better what to give. For me, I am more with giving stuffs like small figurines or cute statues of hearts or angels but the cheap ones.

I can't remember the last time I bought a Valentine's Card let alone sent one, mind you I can't even remember the last time I actually receive one, may be as far back as school? Another commercialized rip off to be honest.

You are very right. Valentines day is imminent. I have no plan to buy new dresses in the Valentines day.

I'm going to use my old art skills from high school. When I get time, I'm going to draw or paint a card which will make it seem personal in itself because of the time it will take to make it. But it's going to be cheap but very appreciated!
