Are you picky or do you try and be picky about what you eat? Or do you just eat anything you want whenever you want? When I was younger I was able to do that and not really worry about it because I was more active outside the house. Now though that I'm working mostly from home I have to watch the my sugar, sodium, and calories in general.

The way you are asking the question is more like your asking do you what you want when you want vs are you picky eater and only eat certain things because you scared something might happen to you if you eat like getting fat. When people say picky eaters I normally think they don't want to try much of anything but what they already like.
I'm not picky but I also don't like trying new things that much because if I get a look at it and it doesn't look good I don't want to eat it.

Sometimes trying new things can be scary. One problem I do have with trying new things is when we are out and about because I don't like to waste money on something I'm not going to like. When we are at home though I generally am able to find a recipe that I will like.

As long as I'm not paying for it I normally will try to give things a try.

In fact I don't think I am picky. But my colleagues don't think so. I just don't like eating the bitter flavor food and I think it is quite normal. But they are different. They also like to eat some certain vegetables with bitter flavor. They say it is not very bitter and it is so healthy. I just don't agree to it anyway.

Yeah it can be hard to eat healthy foods. I know that healthy foods generally don't taste that great to me. But I'm working on eating healthier and I hope that in time I will start to see results. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

what i find is that i always was picky. i was just picky about different things to what i am picky about now. for example, when i was a child, i could never eat eggs. now that i am grown up, i can eat eggs sometimes (depending on who fixes them). i never use to like citrus flavor when i was younger. now, i actually crave it sometimes. i use to love peanut butter. now, i can't sand it it.

Wow, yeah your feelings have changed over the years. The only time I had a drastic change over food was when I was pregnant. I love chinese food but when I was pregnant I could eat it. I'm just thankful though that now I can still eat it. Some people still have the same feelings about certain foods after they are pregnant.

I've always been a healthy conscious so I am really very, very picky with what I eat. I can't sacrifice my health for unhealthy food no matter how tasty or tempting they may be. What we eat is what we are so if we eat junks we will end up a junk. If we eat healthy , we will be healthy. If we eat fatty, we will be fat and hypertensive. If we eat sweets a lot we will end up obese and diabetic. So I would rather be healthy and this is the reason why I am a very healthy person.

I'm so glad to hear that you eat healthy. It is a very important thing. All your points are so right. That does give me encouragement. I at times feel discouraged because other people tend to think if you eat healthy then that means you can't cook. But that is so not true. If we really wanted to we could cook all those things but it's because we are trying to take care of our health.
And my husband at times can go to extremes. Like sometimes he only wants to eat healthy and then other times he doesn't care about what he eats. Like the sodium in can foods I was talking to him about that but he wouldn't listen because he at the present is in one of his moods where he eats whatever he wants.

I have been considered a picky eater all of my life, but I just watch my intake. I have always been thin, and I'm grateful for that. I'm the type that is alway active, I can't sit still for very long. I know that helps in keeping thin. I also drink alot of water with lemon which I believe helps me to maintain my weight. I know my mom would always tell me when I was in my 20's and 30's, wait till you reach your 40's that is when you will gain the weight. Well I'm now fifty-six years old and weigh only 120 lbs. So I'm doing something right! I have to Thank God for giving me this type of body where I'm able to eat whatever I want. I feel so bad for people that don't have control of their bodies weight.

Wow that is so great. You definitely are doing very well. Are you a tall person? Is your metabolism really high? I'm thankful that I don't have too bad of a problem with my weight. It's just since I had our daughter I lost weight and then gained some. So I know that I can lose the weight I just have to feel motivated to work at it. And when there are all types of delicious tasting food around it can be hard to stick to my goal. But I'm working on it.

it is common almost to all of us. We lack few routine exercises made our blood circulation not normal. We became busy with our appointments and we thought coz we are busy gong here and there it is already a form of exercise. Exercise is different for every inch of our muscles moved.

Yes I agree with you. Lately I have been trying to work out a little bit each day. Time goes by so fast and it does seem like we are too busy to exercise or workout. But we have to be willing to make the sacrifice somewhere even if it's by watching less tv or exercising during commercials.

I tend to be picky when it comes to the food i consume. usually i would eat only those that i know, recognize. new food, and foods that looked exotic or weird to me, those i would not dare try to eat... maybe if my friendds show me they consumed it, i might consider... after seeing they are safe. hahaha
i do not do calorie counting, but i am usually just conscious of what i eat, like i choose foods prepared by known restaurants, etc. some foods are prepared not carefully and clean... so i have to be careful about that, my stomach can get grumpy at times.

I eat what I want, but I only eat real food. If it is some rubbish concoction with a long list of chemical ingredients, it isn't welcome in my home.
Since I eat a fairly healthy diet and have a high metabolism, I don't have to worry about becoming overweight.

The biggest part of my life I ate the food rests/leftovers from all my children because I find it a waste to throw it away. So I can't say I am picky (according to one of my eldest daughters it's the most digusting thing to do (looks far from great if they played with it). Now we changed our menu so there is a lot we do not eat anymore (pity enough I can't say my health is increasing yet after 6 weeks). So if you call that picky I am.

I'm not picky but i wish i was. If only i were picky, I'd lose a lot if weight, i can't stop myself from eating and i will eat anything as long as its edible especially during stressful situations. I wish i stopped doing that. By beating just a little bit picky.

For eating, I am not so picky for everyday I don't like to eat too much food or snacks or something else and just eat what my body needs like enough protein, vitamin and so on. And i just eat regularly, three times a day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Thats all and even if i were hungry sometimes like at night, i would not eat anything because i know i need to mantain this eating habit for it does good my health
But for others ,i think i am very picky

I find that I am sensitive to certain textures. I don't like anything too greasy or "mushy." I also don't like condiments. I also don't like large amounts of lunch meat on sandwiches, again, because the texture gags me.
Every time I don't like a food (or the way a food/dish is prepared), it is ALWAYS because of the texture rather than the taste.
As for being picky when it comes to counting calories, etc., I'd say I am not that picky - I just try to be careful and keep it healthy. I will allow one "free" day per week, and maybe a special occasion or two, but since I do a lot of dancing and martial arts, I generally keep it light and healthy because I find I feel and perform my best that way. Luckily I usually prefer healthy food to junk food and I also like things plain (as I said, no condiments, etc.)

I was brought up by my parents of not being afraid to try new food. And so I have never had any problems with the food being served to me from wherever.
The only thing that I try to avoid nowadays, well, ofcourse, eating unhealthy food like chips, sodas and chocolates.

Before when I haven’t starting lifting weights and bulking up, I was really skinny because I am such of a picky eater; this results because I was quite preoccupied with school that I somehow skip meals. But I did conquer such because I had undergo advices by experts and they gave some good recommendation and vitamin prescription which results to me having now a good food appetite and do have maintain good physical exercise routine.

No, I was not picky when it comes to food until such time that my face started to have pimples. lol. Before, I just eat what I want to eat, be it oily or sweet but then when my pimples started to come out , I was conscious already to the food that I am taking. I already eat a lot of fruits and veggies instead of fatty or oily foods.

Right.. we are careless on what we eat when we were younger.. I almost eat whatever I want before.. even those street
Foods that I have no idea if it is well prepared.. anyways.. now that I am matured enough to choose and with more control now I try to eat heathy., choose foods that is more beneficial for me.. I still eat junk foods but with moderation.. we should be responsible of our eating habits if want to stay healthy and fit..

I am not picky. I cook whatever I want and eat it. If I don't know how to cook a certain dish that I am craving, I will just buy somewhere else. This "habit" resulted to my uric acid getting higher and I need to watch my cholesterol level at the age of 35! :(
