How do you use your Nuwave oven?

About a year ago I purchased a Nuwave oven. I'd wanted one for a while, and it was on sale at Christmas time. Also, if I applied for a store credit card I got an additional discount. So, I snagged it. Less fat, quicker cooking, better health, I'm all for that.
I do have a problem though. It came with a cooking guide and cook book. I can't go by the recommended times though as it's always undercooked. I realize that where one lives can affect cooking times and temps. To be honest, my oven is disagreeable too so I've learned to cook 25 degrees lower than suggested so things don't burn. But I haven't yet figured out the time difference with the Nuwave oven. I guess I will have to use it regularly to figure out the averages.
Has anyone else had this issue? What have you cooked in yours?
I've cooked steaks, chicken, and a turkey breast. Each of these I've had to cook longer than suggested.
Oh, I live in Alabama. Anyone else from here using this machine? Any issues?
