What are some good careers one could possibly train for in this crazy economy? I obviously don't want to go into debt for anything, but it looks like I may have a job that offers tuition reimbursement. What careers would be worth my time to train for?

I was looking into that myself here recently. From what I've found there is a growing need for Occupational Therapists. I currently work for a Home Instead company that helps senior citizens stay in their homes ( a lot of work in my area at times) and with the growing population it seems that the need for Occupational Therapists is on the rise.
I think largely the need for any one career will be more in demand one region then another. I see adds in the paper all the time for OT and Nurses all the time.

I am actually looking into occupational or physical therapy. It seems to be in demand here in Indiana. My mother is a nurse and even though she is over 60, she is able to find a job.

That's wonderful! I have a friend in NYC that was a charge nurse for a trama unit and she can't find a job to save her life. There was mass laying off of people over a 'certain' age, which is sad because they have all this experience and can't find work.
