Life can get so buisy and noisy sometimes and I am looking for the perfect vacation opportunity that is quiet,peaceful...at a deserted island. Does anyone know where you can live for free at a deserted island -without hassle? If you know, please describe and provide links if you can. How long would you want to stay at a deserted island and who would be the ONE person you would go with? Your Mom,Dad,sister, brother, friend or mate? What would you want to bring with you as a must?

The are plenty of small deserved islands in Denmark and we are allowed to visit them, but we have to follow certain rules. You can sleep in a sleeping bag at the beach, but you are not allowed to bring a tent. You are allowed to spend a short period on the island and you don't have to pay for it, there is no exact definition of "short period" but one or two days would be okay. I have never visited any of those islands. I am interested in visiting them, but I don't have my own boat, so it is not easy to visit those islands. If I had a boat I would visit some of those islands with my husband. I am not sure which things I would bring except plenty of water and food

Just like to comment that it is the same here in the Philippines. You have several thousands of islands to choose from. But better check with the local authorities if you can go there even without permission. I know a few that can be visited without the consent of the environmental officers.

Hi kathy. Though the thought of going on to a deserted island sounds fun to you but if you really intend to do that then in that case it will be a big mistake. If I was given a chance I would have preferred to go to some Holiday Resort near sea beach. In fact I am planning to do it so next month with my girlfriend. Have a nice day !! SuperShames

I would not be able to live in a desert island. I need peace, but I also need company and someof the things civilization has. We had water problems for 3 hours a couple of weeks ago: I went crazy. We were with no electricity for 3 days after a mayor earthquake: food could not be kept well and many of the things I did (quiet fun) depended on it. As you see, there`s no way you`d see me there although I go to wonderful caribbean islands often on vacation.

Err..If it really is a deserted island, you could stay for free I would bring my friend. It makes things a lot more easier as we have a perfect wavelength of understanding each others thoughts without having to explain it
