A Ray of Hope

Not everything is smooth sailing in our life. After a lot of struggle rather than giving up we cling to that what is called a ray of hope. And when that ray of hope gives one a new lease of life it calls for celebration. Whatever be it it is difficult to give up. What gives you that ray of hope in whatever you do and when do you call it a day and move on.
I have had this dream of setting up homes for seniors and nothing seems to happen. I have not given up. I feel there is a ray of hope that one day it will become a reality.
Do share your thoughts on this.

I'd say, what makes me go on with life is just believing that there will be the chance for me to do what I really want, achieve my dreams and be happier. Each day is a struggle, but just having a positive outlook makes me through the day.

There has to be something that we can place our hopes on, something tangible without which it would just be a waste of time. It is quite a difficult task jenny to identify that which we can place our hopes on. Easy as it may seem but a lot of thinking is needed. Sometimes everything is crystal clear where we know nothing is going to change and so we can move on. The most disturbing thing is to have false hopes.

mine is a free library for children to spend time in where they can read, write, draw, pay board games, watch educational programs, listen to wholesome music. but no computers, no gadgets.

Hello Allknowing, I´m happy to read you again. I had a very rough crisis 18 years ago, since then I promise myself I´ll never leave our Lord Jesus. Since 18 years ago, I work for poor people volunteering. That is my ray of hope.
Blessings friend Allknowing... dainy

Working for the poor in the hope that you will get your peace back is a splendid thought. I would not call it a ray of hope but a sure way to get your peace back. You have made the right choice.

The mistake one makes is when one takes a wrong route, a route that has no light at the end of the tunnel as they say. It is therefore necessary that when one clings on to the ray of hope that ray should be tangible and reachable atleast after putting in the right kind of effort.

As I have stated elsewhere one needs to be careful to go in the right direction when having that ray of hope. A wrong step could land us in trouble wasting our precious time hoping against hope when none exists. It is an art really to know if there is a ray of hope after all. Rather than moving on we tend to remain stagnant where hope is dismal.

Being a optimist person I can only say that if u believe in something definetly it will come to u, So don't loose ur hope and be positive.
A Ray of hope is ur belief in it.

Good to know that you are an optimist and for optimists there is always a ray of hope in whatever they strive to achieve. At the same time, you should know if the route that you are taking is the right one as many a time what you see on the horizon may not be there in reality.
You are new here it seems. Welcome to myLot.

My "ray of hope" right now...is a RAY of Sunshine! I don't/won't need to read the book; "50 shades of Gray,"---that's our weather, right now! Each day that I awaken to sunshine, gives me a whole different perspective..and a ray of hope! I think anything that I achieve will be posthumously..
Love your cute avatar!

YES, dearheart...just around the corner, and I will revere "the ray of hope" lover in my life...
Posthumously...isn't that when we are ALL accoladed? SO many lovely diatribes, espewed at Memorials...when if said, when that personage, was vertical and above ground...it may have been their "ray of hope!" Just being the devil's advocate this morning.
Yes, I too, have thought of a sanctity for the elderly, of peace and serenity, but by the time I realize that dream, I will be a qualified tenant..LOL!

Valentine's day is round the corner and that explains why that avatar!
That's a good one about your ray of hope being the RAY of sunshine but why posthumously?

A ray of hope is sometimes just what we need to keep hanging on. I guess my rays of hope really comes in spurts. Just when I think it is over..whatever the case may be..something happens to renew my hope and carry me forward. I have always felt like I am being led to something but I have no idea what it is. Just when I feel like I can't go on another minute, something crazy odd happens to kind of let me know I still have a ways to go..that there is a purpose. Weird huh?

Learning when to move on is what we all need to do. I have clung on to hopes many a time and then after a long long wait have decided to call it a day but sometimes something somewhere springs up giving it a new lease of life. It has happened to me in relationships specially with my close family. When I decided to move on, they would want to get back in my life when ofcourse it becomes kind of embarrassing not to know what to do but that is life, sadly!
