Yay! It's weekend once again! Friday is the rest day here in the MidEast. After 6PM I gotta rush home and prepare things and some foodies. My roommies says that we'll have an overnight swimming at one resort somewhere in another Emirate. I just don't know yet where as two of them will be checking which good resort we can stay. I am so excited. It's been a while since me and the girls went out! Where'd you guys plan to go on a weekend?

SO it's Friday as weekend the in MidEast, enelym. So, you working days are what days? It's nice to know that you guys out there abroad, also find time to enjoy some get together. At least, it takes away the homesickness of each and everyone. Me, my weekend is just Sunday. Attend the mass with hubby, do some groceries, then he reports to work, while i would chose anything i would want to do. I am planning this Sunday to go to our hometown, where my parents and some sisters are. I always do this, when i miss them. It's just a 30 minute ride from here in they city where we live and work.

It's really a good thing that you have your group of friends and Pinoys to spend the weekend and whenever there's a vacation, enelym. And it's nice to know that the Pinoys have their church day too where there is a Tagalog mass, even if it's on a Friday, not Sunday as we are accustomed to. But with Mylot too, you will never get homesick there.

Hi there Miss D! Yes Friday it is! Instead of Sunday. Here, working days are from Saturday to Thursday; while some are from Sunday to Thursday. Saturday's a half day for me and Friday is a whole day of rest. Yes we do, and we see to it that we can enjoy our time here. Life gets boring if we'll just be in the office and home everyday. Definitely homesickness won't be felt, although there were still times we wished we can just ride a jeepney and take us home at least for an hour. Same as what you do where you can just travel for 30 minutes to be with your parents and sisters. Friday here is the church day too for Pinoys where Tagalog mass can be heard. =)

Yup never will... I normally see the big news in Philippines from myLot. Yes even when we are only a small group, it's still good as my friends here are all fun-loving and bubbly too! There's daily English and other language mass here... and it is only during Friday afternoon @12nn we'll hear Tagalog mass officiated by a very humorous Pinoy priest too. Pinoy's here loves his preaching.

Oh, enjoy your weekend with your roommates. I will spend my weekend with my family at home. I only go home on weekends so I guess even if we'll not go somewhere else, we'll enjoy our time with each other. We usually watch movies together. Monday is our holiday at work so we'll have a three-day off. Let's enjoy our weekends!

I would love to have family bondings most of the time but I could only do them on weekends. I hope I'll have a permanent job in my hometown so that I could be with them every day already.

That sounds exciting! Do you always have Fridays off? How does it work there, is it always a 3-day weekend or do people work on Sundays? I have no special plan this weekend. The kids have just started a new school year, so we're probably just be staying home cleaning and, hopefully, studying for them.

Hi there sishy, In here, Friday is the equivalent of Sunday. Some companies have two days-off which is Friday and Saturday. While some only have one day off. And some also gives Thursday as halfday work with Friday off. And some whole Friday off plus halfday on a Saturday – which is what I have in my company. So it all depends on the company here – but those are mostly the days off and Friday can be considered the rest day for everyone except those working on Hotels, Restaurants, Malls. You can also plan a weekend out with your kids anytime, if God allows. I’m sure the kids will love it.

That's interesting... So people do go to work on Sundays there as a normal thing as those who start the work week on Mondays over here and the rest of the world. Enjoy your weekend!

For the weekend, I spend it here in Mylot, and on all my earning sites, I don't do much on the weekend except go to chuch on Sunday, and I am there all day until, I come home at 11:00 at night, so I pretty much so the same thing, every weekend, which I like doing and that is, earning here online.

Such kind of weekend I posted doesn't happen to me every weekend. Most of my weekend I spent either going to Church or being in the house only doing house chores.

That sounds nice too. I used to do that too. When there is money to go shopping lol. Otherwise we'd hang out at home only and watch movies, eat a lot or play cards.

Looks like a fun weekend! I don't have any plans for my weekend. My favorite thing to do on weekends is to just read and read and read.

I hope so it will be a fun weekend. I actually would like to sleep at home tonight. But no one will be at home as all my roommies will be going there. So I better be with them too than be home alone.

My weekends are basically the same routine each week. I don't have gimmicks or going out for a good time with friends. I spend my Saturdays doing laundry, cleaning the house, sometimes visit my parents, and help my husband with his business. My Sundays, includes going to the church, then running some errands for the house, and some little household chores. But that's fine with me as long as I'm with family, I'm happy with that. When I was single, I spent weekend by just staying at home and reading a good book. Yeah, that was so boring of me! :)

No I don't think so that's boring! I usually stays at home too, read a book, be online all day, play with my doggies - that was when I was back home. But I am here once again in the desert without my family... just friends/roommies and the only thing we can do aside from work is to go out and enjoy life. But if we have nowhere to go, the weekend ends just by going to church, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, cooking... time is so fast actually that we can't do all things that we need to do. Ironing is not on the list modt of the time, it's done during the mornings lol!

This weekend, I'd be most probably just staying home other than go to the supermarket on Sunday to buy food for the whole week. I seldom go out during weekends. I'd just rather be at home and watch tv or go online.

Great! You will be with your family the whole day bonding with them. And also, having the time to stock up foods. There are times our weekends are so busy outside, but there were also times we’re just at home doing laundry, cleaning the house and cooking.

I love to sleep to because I always gets less sleep. But not lesser than you get. And I guess sleeping is what you really need to recharge yourself. 'Though I still think you try to go out some times just to break the habit of being busy at your work all the time.

That sounds very refreshing too. Whenever I get lonely or depress, I used to think about going to seashore where there were less people. The peace and serenity of the surrounding where you can only hear the sound of the waves. It can actually give you a peaceful thought and forget about your problems in a while. 'Though you also get the chance of pouring all your thoughts.
