I just saw on the news that some informal settlers near Litex road in Quezon City are being relocated to Rizal and their houses will be demolished to make way for a new school building. In my opinion, this is a good move by the government. Those informal settlers won't be left without homes, they will be given one at a relocation site in Rizal. A new school building means more room for students and this addresses the classroom shortage of public schools. What do you guys think?

Yes I also agree with you on in here. At least the demolition is being done for a much greater cause like providing a school. As for those that will be affected with it I guess their being settled in a place where they are not suppose to settle would give them a lesson not to do it but I guess they were even given a chance to have their own place somewhere else in Rizal which is actually good for them to resettle in a place they won't be bothered as illegal settlers.

I am always all for the movement of the informal settlers to a better place. I think having known that they are going to build a school when they cleared out the area, then that is an even better idea. I like to hear news such as this. =) Thank you for sharing.

That's indeed a good move by our government but I do hope it will last. And I know we are all hoping for a better Philippines.

This is really good and I hope the informal settlers would understand this and follow the government's projects. I read in one of the comments in yahoo sometime ago that other sttlers if relocated, they would sell the their piece of area and go back to as informal settlers. I hope it's not true and if it is, I hope this people will learn.

Yeah what a nice opinion, but I hope the informal settlers were enrolled in the internet for monitoring of their whereabouts for I heard news many of them are professionals
