Haiiii all my dear friends..
My brother bought me an apple laptop before 3 years. And the color is pure white. It was really goodlooking and cute laptop. After 3 years ,now,I was using that in a rough manner. That's why my apple became in such a condition.I don't know that what to do to make it pure white.and how to get back that real color. My laptop is macbook.I changed it as windows 7 as I need to install some softwares which do not support in mac operating system. Now it is working as windows 7 operating system. The problem is that the sound is not working in my laptop. But the beeping sound can be hear at the starting. Some of my friends said that I have to install sound drive in to it.Then it will be okay.I am facing these 2 problems with my apple laptop. How can I solve this?? How can I get back it's real color and sound??? friends Please please help me.... I am waiting for your replies..

You can get the body replaced by a new one by a computer expert or dealer. But, the hardware of apple laptops is designed in such a way that it can run only Mac OS perfectly. Windows can run on that but some features will lag. So i think the problem can't be resolved.

It should be less difficult than what are doing people porting Linux to Arm machines, where every driver has to be written from scratch... By the way, Dassodils, you should look at your Mac OS X disc to see if the Windows drivers for your laptop are not distributed by Apple.

sad to say all you have to do is use it with a bit of careful. none other than that, i think you have nothing to do with the scratches or other grimes on face of your macbook. i suggest to format back it again with mac OS, running windows in apple computer is not really compatible. when you format it back then the sound enable to use again that means sound drive is not compatible with that system. that's all I can suggest.
good luck, have a good day =)

Good day Dassodils,
With regard to your post, as far as I know, Apple has its own operating system and that is MacPro. Hence, changing this will somehow affects your computer system although it can still work. But, if you really think of it, the reason why it has its own operating system is that, it was designed to run having a MacPro rather than a Windows 7. And with that issue you are encountering, perhaps it would be best to return it back to its original operating system which is MacPro.

I am surprised that you have no more problems.
For the colors, I think it is a problem of calibration. There is a tool included in Windows 7, and a tutorial here : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Calibrate-your-display
For the sound you need indeed a driver. I see some drivers for Macbook under Windows 7 here. I am not sure they will work, but you can give them a try : http://realitypod.com/2010/07/macbook-pro-no-sound-in-windows-7-final-fix/

I don't know what your laptop (the cover) is made of and if it's possible to clean the white with a bit of water and bleach (don't soak it). Might be possible it will look more sprankling in time. So it depends on the kind of dirt. Migt be "brushing" it carefully with a toothbrush and some water, inch by inch will help as well. Again don't soak the brush. Buy/use a cover for you laptop to keep it clean if you are not using it. If it comes to your other problem I think you need to install the sound drive as well (search on the internet for it), since you do hear a sound which means nothing (if it comes to the speakers) is broke. I assume you don't hear anything either if you use headphones?
