What was the first thing you said when you met your baby?
When I first met my daughter ( now 2 years old) the first thing I said was does she has a dimple in her chin? And of course how pretty her eyes where. When my son was born ( now 5 months) I said he looked just like his big sister with his bound hair and blues eyes and that he was such a quite baby.

First I want to say my son was born with a cleft lip that I wasn't aware of until after he was born. So it took me a second to get over that shock. Then I believe the first words I actually said to him looking into his face was "Hi, my beautiful baby boy." And I meant it.

Yeah that can be hard. I know not all ultrasounds can pick up the face of baby too well so that can be hard and definitely a shock for any mother that didn't know that was coming.
But at least he was beautiful to you and that is how it should be.

When my baby was born it was so delightful; I had been hopitalised for nine days with severe pre-enclpsia. When I held him in my arms, I looked at him to see who he looked like. his eyes were striking adn he had such a wonderful smile. what shocked me about him were his nails. They were so long such that I strted looking at him all over just to make sure he had not scratched himself. Thank goodness, he did not have a mark!

The water protects themselves from hurting themselves. I was in the hospital for two weeks and a week out before he was born because of premature labor. Not a fun time for me.

Of course you can't forget all of a pregnancy but even though it sucked it made me stronger even though it hurt and drove me nuts it was all to make my baby stronger before he was born. I cried a lot in my last pregnancy.

I feel you, I can't imagine going through all that. Mothers go through a lot. Thank goodness, nature has a way of resolving most of the issues naturally. once the baby is born, we tend to forget all the troubles we have had before we get them!

When I labored my son and saw him at the first sight, I suddenly felt so moved and then I cried. I didn't say anything but just cried. At that time I suddenly felt that the life was so amazing. He was just so little and tidy, but he was mine. And he was created by us.

Some times having babies leave you wordless. I said something to both of my kids when I saw them. I didn't cry at all.

I told her "Hello" and welcomed her to "world outside of my womb". She replied with a fuss, so I told her "Oh I'm sorry, ma'am but I can't put you back in."

What? It's a saying that people say. For 9 months your baby tries to get out and then once out they want back in because it's what they are use to. The world around them isn't the same. I don't even know what the word azmotroll means. The funny party was you saying you would to but your baby back in. Not the hello welcome to the world.

Funny. They spend all that time trying to get out and then they want back in.

Good day ShyBear88,
I am not yet married but I know the feeling of having a baby since I was the one who taken care of my 3 other siblings plus my very first niece (the daughter of my brother). I was so happy then when I carry for the first time my niece. She was like an angel then. Now she is already 8 years old and is in Grade 2, and I could just imagine how time really run so quick. She grows up smart being an achiever in her school who belongs to the Topnotch Students.

You don't need to be married to have a baby ever. It's a different feeling having your own. You can't compare it to raising your siblings and niece and nephew. I felt great when I was the care taker of my nephew but even better when it was my own kids.

When I first saw my baby I can't say anything but I cried.. it is a tears of joy.. I can't explain how happy I am to see him finally after a long hours of labor.. all I can think of and say is just to thank God for keeping me safe and guiding me in my successful delivery..

I almost cried when I held my daughter but I was happy to see her for sure but I just couldn't believe she was finally here with us and that was the first thing that popped in my head was if my daughter had the same chin as me. With my son it was how much he remind me of my daughter and I haven't see her in a month, looking at them they are so much like each other physically.
