I remember that when I was a kid I can't draw or if in case that I am holding a pen then it could have be eaten or if I am writing then of course the one that is just lines without thinking what is it. I don't remember that I have written on walls using colors though I have seen a lot of kids doing that and they were not even a baby already, sometimes some of them are even toddlers already.
It amazes me for seeing my nephew that he can draw a face with complete senses though his mom instructed on what to draw on others like nose but then still he can follow instructions and he knows where is the proper place to draw. The face looks like rugrats. The funny thing about it when he was asked to draw a hair it was just a little that is really for babies.

Kids nowadays are really amazing! Yes you are right, during my time I think 2-year olds are still considered as babies. My 2-year old now also knows how to solve puzzles, and it is becoming his favorite hobby lately, instead of playing with his toy cars. He easily also adopts lyrics of the latest songs he hears on the radio (which even some I am not familiar with) And most of all the dance steps he can sees on tv. I don't know if it comes with the formulation of their milk at present? or it's just that we are almost at space age?

Did you also listen to the music when you were still pregnant? That is what my sister in law did and I think that thing helps. Same to my nephew he is singing some songs that are not familiar and even by the tune he can also guess what kind of song is that. Kids nowadays are even advance.

Yes. And I was made to borrow "baby plus" gadget (a prenatal education system) by my cousin. I do not know if that also helped him being a smart kid now. But I can also say that maybe it helped because the younger brother who is still 1 is different at his age. Though he is also smart, but my 2 year old is more active even when he was still 1 year old. But I also believe kids has their own personalities so I really do not know...

Hello there Metatronik. Wow! I think your nephew is really cute. I think he's also smart because he was able to draw a face and follow what his mom said. I saw the picture you uploaded and I think it's really adorable thinking that it was a drawing of someone who is only two. I like the way he drew the face. Happy myLotting to you.

Yeah he is really cute and I can show you the picture how cute he is as 2 year old. He can even talk already but not always 100% clear words but at least he can say something especially in English with proper grammar. Like for example if he doesn't like you to touch his own toy he would say "No! it's dangerous" Sometimes he can ask "Where is Nanay?" He is really funny. When he says he is handsome then he says "Monster Pogi"

Well, there are kids that are gifted with intelligence higher than the normal intelligence of other kids of their age. Why don't you bring your nephew to a child psychologist or an institution for assessment of his intelligence. I am sure you have heard of genius kids who finished college at a very young age because they were accelerated. I just don't know exactly the name of these institutions but maybe you can ask his pediatrician for referral. His talent or intelligence should be nurtured and developed further.

Thank you for the suggestion but of course I will just his parents decide regarding that matter and it depends if they are busy or not. We will find out his assessment I think when he is already studying if he is kind of person who can be really accelerated. Honestly I could see the difference to his playmate that he is way advance compare to his playmate who is just same age as him and even 1 month older to my nephew. His playmate doesn't talk that much unlike my nephew he can even complete the sentence.

Hi there ! Same with me up to date i can hardly draw a face with details , even flowers and animals too. Drawing can't be learnt. If you have it , then it can be polished . It is innate in a person and it is a God given gift ! Your nephew is very talented ! This must must be nurtured and supported well. Not all are given this gift , parents and all family members must have a full support in this.

do you believe the same thing about writing, singing, dancing, cooking, playing an instrument, designing/decorating? what about sports and math?

There are other people who are not really gifted when it comes to drawing but of course they can have other talents as well that can be recognized from other people as well. I can draw in illustration but not in human anatomy I mean the whole thing. I can draw the face but when it comes to body I find it hard with it especially in the movements and the proportion. I am frustrated for it since I am dreaming to work in animation which is that is the important thing to do.

Good thing he has lots of materials at home just like you mentioned and he can even borrow it from his older sister. That is the reason why I am not giving him those kind of materials because it is already plenty. But I hope some other time I could still guide him it can be in painting. I hope I can give time for both of them.

one time i tried drawing the faces of archie and his friends because we have comic books in the house and i was able to do it. so i guess it means you never know if you can do something until you try.
but i guess it's harder at your level when you're trying to be really good at something, like as you say, the whole body, movement and proportion, as a bridge towards a career in animation. maybe you just need to find the right mentor or group of animators who can teach and guide you, since you have the basic skills already.

Every individual have their different natural talent to show off. Maybe this baby has a special talent on his drawing skill and arts. You can put him into art classes where he can learn all this painting stuffs very well. He sure can become a talented artiste and as side earning too. All the best for you and your baby niece .Take care

Having a nephew who can draw at age 2 is quite an accomplishment for him. He may just have some artistic talent that should be encouraged and nurtured. Hopefully it is something that will bring inspiration to his life and to yours too. Most children can not drawuntil much older. You should be very proud of your nephew.

Of course I am totally proud of my nephew. Not only that he can also dance by following the steps especially when it comes to Korean Pop.

I doubt I was able to do so as well, but my children (4 out of 5) were able to do so as well. They already had a pen/pencil at the age of 1 year old. One became an animator (still drawing daily) my son is 9 now and drawing daily as well making very detailed drawings (like his elderly sister) and my youngest (7 years old) says she wants to be a painter...

Wow that is great that one became an animator which is my dream job. My nephew holds a pen by age of 1 and that is proper way of holding it, unlike in other kids they will hold it like barbecue sticks. I was amazed during that time that he can be able to hold a pen in proper way which indeed I remember myself before when my grandmother taught me on how to hold a pen in proper way.

When I came to know this news, am so wondered and really it's a very wonderful thing that anyone would be wondered. That two year old child is really amazing and he should be given more facilities to do more and more and in my opinion he would be given more priorities in this field. he would be a great artist one day.

It depends on his decision of what kind of field that he wants to do. So early to decide and discover about his real talent. He can't only draw but dance as well.

That is true, it is very rare for the 2 year old kids to draw the proper way like that and can imagine what he can draw.

You must believe for it really happened. What you must do is to help the mom of the child to trained your nephew on the talent he got.

Actually he has other talents not just in drawing but most likely in dancing too so I already told his mom that he must enroll in dancing school so that he can have exercise too.
