Have you thought or realized that you are already pleasing teachers in order to have good grades? Or at least encounter it with other students in order for them to pass?
Do you think it makes sense of pleasing teachers?
It was like you are making projects, homeworks and other school works just because of the teacher where in fact we are doing that for us to learn of what the teacher discussed it to us?
Then in other sense we are the one who are paying the tuition fee and obviously of course their salary came from us, so that we will learn from them.

I did when i was in grade school. It is as if it was only grades that mattered at that point in time. I've gifted my teachers a lot of stuff then with my lunch money. Bought them food and chocolates and other stuff. Sometimes I'd do extra errands for them. I didnt get high grades just for that though, only high grades in values but not on the other subjects. It didnt feel good doing that and being the teachers pet. My classmates did not like me for it and called me a suck-up. Looks like when you kiss a$$ everything tastes like $hit

At least now you learn and realized that we are not supposed to do extra effort for the teachers in order for us to have good grades. Unless if we are really sincere enough and that is our real attitude regardless if it would affect our grades or not. We must remember that we are the one who are making our grades.

I guess chocolates an gifts aren't computed in the same value. Although, I've earned my teacher's friendship i think so I'm okay, its not nice learning lessons the hard way

I can't blame you on that because you know in our country the system is not really good and others are basing it according to your academic performance. The problem that you are going to fail is that you won't be graduate and you will be in school for the long time. That is hard. So we can't do anything but to work hard for the grade.

That is good idea prof! Good thing you are not kind of professor who is begging that people or students should please because unlike other teachers they like that idea. Students should know the value of learning in education and the reason why they are being graded.

I can't speak for my teachers but when I like a teacher,I like them because of their personality and how they teach.i hate a boring teacher because that will be just reaosn for me to fall asleep in class. I would love to think that I tried to be the best student in every class I took but I never succumb to the teacher's pet stereotype. Most of my peers also like the teacher so I guess I wasn't the only one in that sentiment. I haven't met a teacher for the teacher's pet stereotype so I can't really judge. But I think all of teachers left a great impression on me -a reaosn why I still like the profession of teaching.

Same here, I am having favorite teacher too even I failed on her subject she is teaching it is because she knows how to explain well and deliver well of what she is teaching all about. When I failed I didn't take it personally but no reactions about it since I know to myself that it was my fault.

I am student who likes enjoying life along with performing my responsibilities. So, in my school I behave very well with teachers, with every teacher in fact .But I don't try to please for my grades as the board papers are not checked by our teachers or neither the question papers are framed by them. I just behave well with them and good towards them so that I can happily lead my school life - student life. This is in brief my relation towards teacher.

I am also quiet or behave to the extent that I was awarded as most behave during my kinder years. Which is now became opposite as I talk too much. I am also quiet during that time just because I am playing safe that others won't listed me as Noisy.

On my student life before I observed some. For me we don't need to please our teacher in exchange for a good grades, if we are doing well on her subject we already pleases her, meaning she is a good teacher.

In a way yes! if we are learning to that professor or teacher of course we can really have good grades and aside from that if we perform well.
