More than 30 days clean-ish!

I had my last cigarette on 2nd January 2013. Not had one since, have saved a small fortune as I smoked 20 a day at £7 a pack, don't feel a whole lot better healthwise yet but I've no doubt it will happen at some point. I never really had a smokers cough anyway and I have had a cold more or less non-stop since Christmas so that's not helping the way I feel. I will say that I do feel a bit more wide-awake in the morning when I first wake up so maybe that's a result of not taking in all the chemicals in cigarettes.
Anyway I said I was clean-ish because I'm using an electronic cigarette which I think is awesome!! Have tried other nicotine replacement products like patches etc but none of them worked. So I'm still nicotine dependant but at least I'm not getting all the chemicals that are included in cigarettes. I'm leaving it for another month or so and then I'm going to try to wean myself off my e-cigarette as well. In fact I'm already using it a lot less than I did at first but actually I quite like using it. It's like smoking without the smell so I can even do it indoors if I want!
So has anyone else tried electronic cigarettes to quit smoking? Did it work? Did you have problems using them? Did something else work for you?

Congratulations my friend, I never smoked, and I have seen lot of people here in my country with problems because they somoje a lot. Some quit smoking without any help, just with their own belief.

I think you have to really want to stop smoking and I think the problem in the past is that I've tried to stop but really haven't committed to it 100%. It's a habit I really wished I had never started in the first place.
Wow I'm so pleased to see you on here though - I've been away for ages and I hardly know anyone on here now! It's great to know you're still here

Congrats on your accomplishment..I am still trying to get my hubby to use electronic cigs exclusively. Now he uses them in the car when we go somewhere together, but still goes out on the patio to smoke at home.
I wish they had the e-cig when I quit..I used gum and it was very helpful but I think the e-cig would have been better
Waking up alert instead of dragging was one of my first positives when I quit smoking too. Again..good for you for taking this step to better health.
