How long have you been using your computer? I have a laptop that I am using for more than three years now. And it is also acting in the same way. I have recently installed Photoshop and Corel on it. Since then it has been using a lot of CPU energy, which it didn't do earlier. So, I guess, you too could be facing with a similar problem. I can't uninstall any program at the moment, so I open lesser windows to cope with the situation.
I do the anti-virus scanning and help my laptop speed up. How about you?

I don't know how old your computer is. But I use my laptop long hours everyday. And as I mentioned the presence of some heavy software, it is growing slow and slow. By the way, I have deleted a lot of data from other drives which I don't need, but still no use. I think, all things suggest that I should uninstall some software, but I am not able to do so.

Hello,
It was getting worse. I think its not a hardware problem. definitely the reason is some software or damaged system/program file. try to restore your system to earlier configuration if it is not worked sorry disappointing you my friend...! you have reinstall or repair your windows.

It is the matter of unnecessary items on your pc.
If possible, remove unwanted softwares from your pc.
Remove cookies, temp files, catch files by typing command at start button.
If you still problems with your os., then go for re-install with a fresh copy of that one.
Check out internal cable that are connected to harddisk, smps, floppy drive, dvd drive etc...
Don't use trial version antivirus programs as they also cause of pc slow.
Run defragment utility to set the clusters in a proper way.
Upgrade your ram if needed.
Check out your harddisk status for any bad clusters.
