It is a Target giftcard and I was happy until they sent it. I found out the card is $5.00...I went to the site and went through every section I could to try to find something to get for 5.00..I might have found three or four things that were under 5.00 but the shipping itself was more than 5.00..What can I do with this card?

after all I went through looking through that site trying to find something to get with the card, I think you are right. Everything that I tried to order had a shipping fee of more than $5..so I am not even going to waste my time on it anymore..

I am back to report that the site where I on that card is supposed to be sending me yet another $5 card for all my hard work there and hopefully I can combine both those cards and use them for a purchase...

You can save it and when you get another then use it or go to the store and by some cand with it. But you have to live near one to buy the candy so you won't worry about the shipping.

I meant to correct myself before I sent that out..it's not the physical card but something I think is called an e-code..the pin number to a 5.00 purchase..I just went to look up card exchange sites and I see all of those have a minimum of $25..guess I am stuck with it...

You should be able to use the e-code? Do you mean e-card because you can use those in stores or online. I've gotten those many time and you should be able to print it out and it have a bar code on the paper.

I really don't like to pay shipping charges. I always look at RetailMeNot.com to see if I can find a code that will give me free shipping on orders online. There are a couple on there for Target right now but I tried them and none of them work.
If it's a physical gift card, I'd just take it to the store and use it there. If it's electronic, I'd redeem some of my points on Swagbucks for another Target gift card and buy something for my daughter's birthday.
Another option might be to look at their REDcard program. You can apply for that and get a Target debit card that's linked to a checking account you already have. If you're approved, you'll save 5% off everything you buy at Target when you pay with the debit card, and they give you free shipping on online orders. BUT--and this is one reason I won't sign up for this--there's a clause in the application that says they can pull your credit report. If you're okay with that, you can read more about the program here: http://www.target.com/redcard/application

Maybe you can use it in purchasing other stuff on their website and just pay for the remaining balance. Can you do that? I would try that especially if it's expiring soon. I mean if you would have to pay for shipping charges anyway might as well get something that I would totally need and use the card to pay the $5 off its price.
