Well that's strange I've never heard of anyone getting sick from drinking to much water. It's been said that one should about 6 to 8, 8oz glasses of water a day. It helps with circulation and bowel movements as well pushing toxins out of the body and helping in gearing up your metabolism.

I don't think, but don't quote me on this, that it has to do with your size. The body is approximately 75% water (so it doesn't matter how big or small you are) and you need to keep replenishing it because you urinate and sweat during the day and even your eyes need to keep moistened. Summer is worse because of the heat. We are suppose to have 8-10 glasses a day, but this can include juices too. Water also helps regulate your bowels too. And some people take diuretics which makes you lose water which needs to be replenished. That's about all I know.

Forgot...I drink water and juice during the day but I don't get sick from it. My sister gets an upset stomach from water, don't know why.

Some say that 8 glasses of water a day should be consumed. I know I drink gallons of the stuff mainly because I have to replace the water from sweating through my rigorous exercises at the gym. I much prefer tap water to bottled water, fortunately our water is drinkable with no tang.

Ideally it should be about 8 glasses a day, right? But I always think it depends on your body and the craving/thirst you have cos sometimes you get too much salt in your diet that makes you get more water or sometimes your body is in an illness process or something that it would seek for more water.

Since I was still in elementary the teacher always tell us that we have to drink atleast 2liters of water a day. I think it's not important to know how much water we should drink a day because we all need water and it's really good for our health. I don't really like drink water but I always manage to drink a lot of water after eating or after exercise because thats the only time when I want so much to drink a lot of water.

Normally a adult needs 2 lits of water everyday. But it's not true that you get sick just because of drinking extra water. The more you drink water is more helpful for your body...

Granted, some fluids aren't as helpful as others, but my doc would rather I drink ANYTHING over not drinking. I don't care for plain water either, so I add flavors to them or make tea, and my doc is fine with that.

You are right! It defers person to person according to their body conditions. At any cost every person has to take much of pure and clean water to keep our body healthy! 1-2 liters of water needed generally for healthy persons daily. Excess water is not so good for all persons. Keep change dosage of water if needed! Commonly in summer we need more, but not in other seasons!
