Hi, You should try the Sony Xperia Z, you can hammer, scratch, dunk it in water rub the screen against a rock, literally throw it down a cliff and it won't get a single scratch. It shall go on playing your HD movie on its 5-inch screen as if nothing has happened. I don't want another phone but seeing its specs, it makes me drool for one, drool I did for its price is equivalent to a year's pay for me. quite unreachable. Maybe you should follow my advice if you have the money, that is, and you won't get that same problem again.

I hae a touchscreen phone as ewll, but no problems here. I have galaxy s3, and frankly it is the best phone I have ever had or used. Touchscreens can be very sensitive to the touch, as mine will open up apps without hardly doing anything. It sounds like maybe you should try to replace the screen, and see if that helps, and if it doesn't, then maybe, you do need a new phone.
